Basically. I think it has different shocks and sway bars too. Haven’t had a chance to drive one.

 

4Runner has too many models now. It’s a decade old design. Love the look of them when their lifted and have wheels, but the design is old. Like you said, just kill it already

 

Also sold our only 22 GT86… waiting for the customer to pick it up.

 

Toyota only neede three models of the 4Runner. SR5 for those who did not want a manual transfer case or a 2wd. Venture series, and TRD Pro.

The best model was the venture, which was a TRD Pro minus the suspension and undesirable rack that is on the Pro. The venture also had a yakima basket that you could sell on ebay.

Really Toyota could cover the 4Runner market with the Venture, but they discontinued that one.

 

Agreed! Venture was just an off-road but with the Pro Sema rims. Those sell like hot cakes!

I was waiting to see if Toyota was going to offer the Venture in Lunar Rock for 22, but that model was discontinued. Most of what Toyota builds that I like, Toyota discontinues production. For example regular cab trucks.

Any1 know of a good Volvo shop in the alliston area? I replaced the ignition cylinder on my 02 S60 and that has sent the immobilizer into a fit due to the new keys.

 

Asked my buddy about it…

“New keys either came with new virgin chips or no chips at all. Changing the ignition doesn’t change the chips the car is looking for. Just changes what key blade physically turns the ignition switch.”

I know a guy with a 3.4L 5VZ-FE but with a blow head gasket. Just send the heads and do the gasket and she runs. Otherwise she runs but white smoke.

 

Yea hoping to 3RZ swap my first gen 4Runner.

I’ve currently got a line on a full 5VZ-FE truck, but I’d need yet another truck with a stock 3.0L v6 for the trans and t-case. The 5VZ has a drivers side drop T-case, where my first gen is pass side drop.

The 3RZ truck has a w59 trans, to which the bellhousing is a direct bolt up to my stock w56. Fewer donor trucks needed for 3RZ, less exhaust routing, and more space for TURRRRBOOO (maybe someday).
