Damn this brings back memories from 10th grade:

There was this guy we'll call Eric in HS who was in my 3rd period bio class and my 4th period Phys Ed class. One day he was banging a vacant desk into the back of my seat and I asked him nicely to stop but no luck he kept doing it. Now on to 4th period and his locker was across from mine (damnit) well I took off my combo lock and put the shackle around my salute finger. Well, low and behold he shows up as I was trying to get out of the locker room before he made it no luck.

So, it starts with him pushing me so it was on with a right hook that rocked his fat ass as he fell back into the lockers ( 70's style cages) one off the steele lock latches rips open his back as he fell so bad the he needed 200 stitches along with 60 or so in his face below his lelt eye. He never seen it coming! Well, I march right down the deans office as my name should have been on his door as I was there more than he was..... I get there and he goes what are you doing here I said you will soon find out i'm just here to save some time for you. About a minute later the call for squad 51 comes in from the gym coach and I said now you know.

Needless to say I did get expelled but after 2 witnesses came forward one from BioChem class and PE it was dropped to a 10 suspension after a hearing with the school board. Eric was then suspended for 30 days and I was then known as the "Crazy Honkie" and was NEVER messed with again till I graduated....

    As for poll...

I got into couple fights in or around 4th grade. Nothing crazy but one kid kept messing with me so i bitch slapped him, then he told teacher...kept on later that day so i did a Captain Kirk stomach punch w/double hand back hit:eek:...good thing i wasnt very strong.

I got punched couple times in gut in high school but nothing to speak of else.

Couple close calls in military...last one was a guy that was ticked off i made rank and he didnt, tried telling me what to do when i already had some task to do from another guy that out ranked us. He took it i upon himself to try and tell me what i was supposed to be doing. I said hes not my boss and i already had other directions. Anyway it escalated and i had my fist ready as i was yelling at him to stfu...he started to come at me and others pulled him away from me. They (co-workers)were really shocked because normally i was really chill. No one really ever said or tried talk trash to me after that.:anonymous:

Id say normally im not going to fight. But now its more i have a concealed pistol so i just dont let it escalate. But im ready to defend myself or wife if i have to

Was in several fist fights growing up:anonymous:; I finally figured out that the feller that threw the first punch (if it was hard enough) was usually the winner. So I kinda got to where if someone was in my face mouthin me pretty bad I'd go ahead and take a shot at em and see what happened:annoyed:

In school I was always one of the tall kids and was 5'11" and 210 pounds in the 8th grade which was a big guy back in those days. I never had any problems, guess the tough fellows figured there were potentially easier people to mess with.

Now all these young kids tower over me, 5'11" might be below average any more. :pout:

3-1/2 hours of chipping, scraping & shoveling later aided with 125 pounds of rock salt -- I'm done, both with the sidewalks and knackered too. :bananadead::bananadead:

Agree -- and the code guy will be driving around Monday morning... Towns are always short of cash: "If you can't tax the citizen you might as well fine them".

    P.S. I hate snow.

Does your town require you to shovel the city walk?

    For what?
    Is it your sidewalk?
    Do you own it?

Yes, the property owner owns the sidewalk (and pays for it) and is required to remove all snow/ice within 24 hours after the end of the storm.

I punched a kid in the jaw when I was about 12 and he was 14 or 15, it shocked him. Then he started laughing, he was a really big kid.

Subsequently from time to time I have nightmares where I am in a fist fight or a tussle and I move in slow motion and I can't muster enough force to hurt somebody with a strike. End result being that I carry a firearm everywhere I am allowed to. :bananadead:

I admire the idea but the years have beat all the fight out of me...

You can't fight with city hall (and win), easier to comply and remain the anonymous taxpayer.:anonymous:
