Having worked in the car business more than I cared to, I'd recommend avoiding showroom cars as well. You'd be surprised to see how much wear and tear they get from customers and kids climbing in and out of them. They're practically a Petri dish too. Also, dealers sometimes put cars they have a hard time selling in the showroom, because customers are drawn to them for some reason. "I bought it right off the showroom floor."

It could be a matter of the lighting emphasizing any difference. The photos are my week-old 2022, the first photo is in the sunlight and it is really hard to see any difference in shade or texture. The second photo was taken in the shade, it is easier to see a slight difference.

This is normal due to the different material between the bumper and fender but in both of your shots you can see there is more clearcoat on yours then the OP's picture. You can see it at the crease.

Just adding to the conversation. I just took my buddy down to the dealer I bought my new RAV4 from last Tues. He wanted to look at TRDs so I called my salesman and he said they had 3 come in last night that hadn't gone thru PDI yet. We drove down and I sold him a Barcelona Red Off Road Premium pkg!

Anyway, shot a pic of the Black, non-PDI Sport that was sitting there in the dirt lot. Looks just like OP's and it's fresh off the transport.

The red is the one my buddy just paid msrp $47k + 3500 market bend over without lube + taxes/registration. It's sitting next to my 6 month old.

    Dealer owes me BIG TIME!

Yeah, but I took care of the foreplay and lube required of the dealer transaction. No reach around was required. :D
