I have a 2012 Access Cab SR5 4x4 with 165k on it. With these used Tacoma prices so high I am really tempted to sell mine and order a new one.

    - 2012 SR5 4x4 Access Cab
    - One owner (dealer maintained for the first 100k)
    - Two regions of potentially selling it are Pittsburgh or Philly
    - No crazy pricy mods (5100's and 2018 SR5 wheels added)

Any thoughts of input would be great !!

    Cheers

Dunno, but nice looking truck. What’s the rust situation in Ohio? I think this is the first time I’ve seen that skid plate on a truck and liked it.

^This. I'd paint match the grille bezel and rear bumper to freshen/update the look and then run that f'er till the wheels fall off.

These type of threads seem to turn into a exercise in futility as none of us really know the OPs and their true underlying motives. Whether its driven by financial reasons, fear of owning an older vehicle & potential future repairs, bored ape wanting a new shiny banana, etc. only they can really answer this themselves and sometimes even then I'm not so sure they can.

I’d keep it and order a new 4th Gen - 3 years AFTER it has been in production.

That's the factory TRD "skid plate" but not a true skid plate. Per toyota description:
Helps protect vehicle underbody from damage that can result from flying stones, branches, ice chunks and other types of road debris
    • Made from stamped and formed 1/8-inch-thick powder-coated aluminum

OP, clean looking truck. Being 4WD and living in an area that see alot of bad weather, it should sell fairly easy if you decide to go that route. The only concern would be the condition of the frame. What's the reason for selling?
