I get the itch to buy one every year.

Should have picked up an lmt when brownells was blowing them out a few years ago.

I used some alcohol to get where I could. Didn't really put a bunch of prep into it other than taping. I expect the "patina". I followed the flannel daddy method ;)

Throw it on the cardboard and huff the fumes. Was a great day. Unfortunately the laundry bag I used was a lot stiffer, but once I get the green paint it'll work itself out. I'm just going to cover it with the laundry bag and spray the green on the whole thing. I will leave the offsets and grip on for the green.

Yeah. I have been kicking myself for not getting the 37mm m203 back when they were available and not expensive.
I was able to do some additional min wage work on top of my salary job, so I was able to use that extra $ to buy a few uppers, the launcher, some lower parts, and a set of plugs for my Tundra. It feels really good to have a 0 balance on everything except my property payment, and that is going to start getting knocked down starting next month.

Pieces of the belt kit are starting to come in. Still waiting on belt itself and mag pouches. Safariland is nice glad @Gunshot-6A kinda talked me into it was just about to order a T1C because I was balking at safariland pricing on their website. Primary arms came through at nearly 40% lower price 20220226_192904.jpg

Ran up to the annual Bloomington Gun & Knife Show yesterday which is probably the biggest gun show in central Illinois. I was expecting very little ammo at outrageous prices but I was surprised to see a lot of tables full of ammo and the prices weren't ridiculous. Still high, but relative to what we're seeing on shelves and not many people buying it at that price. I'm hoping that's a sign that supply is catching up and demand is tapering off. Of course I couldn't leave without something, scored a great deal on a PWS CQB comp and an 18" stainless .223 wylde barrel.

Bought this a while ago, but it needed some adjusting because there are dimension differences between a military (WW2) and civilian M1 Carbine. Fortunately, I know "a guy" that's a pretty good machinist. He did the mod for just the cost of shipping back and forth.

Now to figure out what kind of optic to mount. Maybe the red dot, maybe a low magnification scope.

Damn do you actually going through enough mags of ammo in a range trip to need this? Reloading mags is when we tend to sip a beer and shoot the shit, slows us down to consume alittle less ammo in an outing.

or is this more to have 2,000 loaded mags in the closet?

I try to have my mags loaded before I get to the range to save time. I will go through 30/35 mags in my outdoor adventures but I do like to have about 15 mags loaded at all times.
