    I just did this "Mod" to my head unit on a 2021 TRD-OR, much better knobs to use.
    No sloppiness or loose feel. It fits fine.

    this and that...
    if he still offers it, pick up a custom set from tacoweide. the craftsmanship is spot on. had mine for a couple years now and the aluminum is still black, the heft is nice in the hand and the knurling gives you positive control of your music. just the feel gives the allure like you have an sq deck or something LOL. anyhow, compared to the rav4 knobs the tacoweide iteration is superior in every way.

    I ended up first with a set of RAV4 knobs and then went with AJT Design knobs in Army Green - both retain the illumination.

    oh cool! I have the army green Tacoma as well and was thinking about the green knobs but since I blacked the interior out I’m gonna stick with the black knobs. I do like the looks of the AJT knobs a little better than the rav4. I’ll check them out. Hopefully they show a photo of them being illuminated. Thanks for posting this!
