Yep, already using it for a always on charging port.

@kmorgan3 - This plug from Amazon (for a Toyota Vigo) looks very similar to the center console USB plugs on the 2019 Tacoma. Before I buy this to test fit/harvest the plugs (hooray for free returns if it doesn't fit), do you have any of these plugs that you could build a one-of pass through with pigtails for the center console USB?

Let me take a look tomorrow and get back to you. I should have more bandwidth then. It looks like a fairly common connector.

Thanks, I appreciate it. This mod has been in planning for three years, so whenever you have time to check is fine.

Also, Here's my dog wearing glasses.

The one from Amazon was a little too large. If you have a chance and can find anything compatible with this black plug from the center console USB I'd really appreciate it.

It doesn’t look like there’s anything. That connector is intended for a wire-to-board connection. It was also custom-made for Toyota, and thus there’s a super high chance they 1. Control production, and 2. Never got around to making a male connector as they themselves never had a use for it (they just had it designed for the board on the USB outlet).

I have a couple other people wanting MT harnesses so I was just about to order some components for those. The 2-LO adapter is on backorder with the daisy chain connectors. Expected next week, but I don’t trust that estimate. Shoot me a PM if you want to get on the list!

All caught up on orders (finally). I have a lot of materials on hand but not a ton of completed harnesses, so if you are placing an order now you can expect a 2-3 day ship time for orders to be built by hand.

@kmorgan3 would it be possible to get a 2-LO adapter harness for the center console area (M/T truck)?

@kmorgan3 Not sure if this is something you can do but I will ask. I plan to install the glass break sensor under the climate control panel but to make it plug and play I need an extension to go from the left of the steering wheel to the center dash. The GBS is set up to install in the panel below the cubby. I have no open slots there but have one under the CCP. I don’t want to splice into my wiring to make it work. I have a 2019 sport MT.
Appreciate it if you can help me out.

Yep I can make it, but it probably won't be the cheapest thing in the world. Those connectors have to come from Japan. I'll shoot you a PM.

OP, I'm wanting to pull dome light negative trigger and cargo light activation signals for distribution to other parts of the truck. I've got roof rack lights and will install led strips under my sliders (dome trigger). Also will have strips in the bed and a drawer back there (cargo trigger). Buuuut I also want to be able to turn on each of these "zones" manually and disconnect the trigger. I want full control!

I know there's an A-pillar tap, so maybe take that and combine with a cargo light harness? Am I making this too complex?

It would just be a cargo light harness for those. Then you’d be responsible for the SPDT switches to provide an override (you’d need to use a ground as an override). The cargo light has a door trigger but doesn’t fade. Assuming you’re using relays, you wouldn’t get the fade on/off from the a pillar tap, so you’d be getting the same effect as using the non fading cargo harness. I could build it custom if you need.

So no dome tap? In an ideal world, I'd like the slider strips and rack lights to benefit from fade on/off. The rack lights are pretty low draw, maybe 2A? I imagine the LED strips would be about the same.

I only need the bed and drawer strips to have access to the cargo tap. Figured it would be prudent to pull both signals since I'd be passing by it on the way down from the A-pillar. My future-proofing self was thinking just send both signals to the back just in case I come up with something else.

2A is pushing it for those tiny wires up there (24 awg). I’d recommend using the door trigger from the cargo light harness and run it out to a relay. If you want the fade on and off you could just use a timer for it.
