So….. discussing our Toyotas with my fiancé ( my taco her 4Runner) and we both have the Service Plan and Maintenance Plan. But what I can’t find out from anyone at Toyota is what exactly those cover and for how long. Does ANYONE here have an answer? Thanks in advance.

Great idea! I see that you ride, too. I also think that everyone should be required to take a beginner's motorcycle safety course as part of their driver's ed, whether they intend to get a motorcycle license or not. They should understand the other vehicles sharing the road.

 

What they need to understand is that they are invisible to other vehicles sharing the road.

Yeah so if you have both a cab rack and a bed/top rack that are the same height you should mount your accessory on just one of the racks. If your accessory overhangs the other rack you need to use a mount that raises it at least one inch to avoid any interference with rhe other rack. Prinsu and others offer the mounts:

He explained it to me ( us ) but it seems I have forgotten. I know when we bought them ( on the same day ) I said to my self “ yea…I’m not gonna do maintenance on my own car “. ( I drove a car for 26 years before I got this truck. I did EVERYTHING on it. Timing belts, transmission replacement, etc ) I’m done working on cars other than bolt on accessories and when he sold us on it, I was game.

 

I have that can, it’s very hard to mount cause of the idiotic way the mount is designed: once you take the mount off the can and mount it to the firewall there’s no way to attach the can back to the mount cause of the complete lack of thought they put into the hardware. I had to make an additional bracket to go to the factory bracket to bolt it to my truck.

You both bought new in 2019? Have you not used these plans for service?
If not you should look through your paperwork for these contracts to see exactly what they cover, hopefully you still have them.
