Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Pull the aftermarket stuff and sell it here. It's worth more off the truck than it is on it. An anomoly to this thinking would be an item such as an uber charger, which will actually increase the value of the truck overall.

Because someone on TW told him it was cool and he needed them obviously.

Dang rough crowd, the brakes were needed for towing a boat up to big bear and back. The abs would kick in before the swap to aftermarket. 6 piston calipers can stop a heavy truck pretty quickly.

I agree the cap wouldnt add more value and could be sold separately. I purchased the truck out the door for 40k in 2019.

Take it to Carmax and get a free estimate from them. Then if you decide to sell take everything off return to stock and take it to Carmax and get another estimate. Then go from there.

Sorry for the rough crowd! They might be hoping you price it low so they can buy it

I will say this: I had to wait over 3 months for my topper and I think close to 7 months for my sliders.

I do think you could reasonably include some of the cost of some items because of their lead time. Someone that understands this might be more motivated.

You should price it a tad bit above what you would realistically want to get, and find the right person that understands what you have. As to what that price is, I'd defer that to someone else.

    My 2 cents.

I don't think the stock brakes do a very good job at stopping and I am replacing the pads and turning the rotors for the second time at 60K. Been driving the same places, the same way in Toyota trucks for 25 years and never had to screw with brakes so much as I do on this truck.

Exactly why I have kept every single stock part I have swapped on my truck. Stock parts get pennies on the dollar, and used after market parts tend to only fetch a few more pennies, but a stock truck is just easier to sell or trade in generally. Also get offered more IME for trading in a stock truck.

I also would never buy a modded vehicle.

I think the easiest way to get an idea of what your car/truck is worth is to see what Carvana or CarMax will give you for it then keep in mind that Carvanas per vehicle profit for the last quarter of 2021 was 3700.00 to 5200.00 per vehicle. Of course they base the price on factory options/packages/trim levels so the aftermarket stuff you put on would not make a difference

FWIW, $42,080 trade-in is what Carfax is quoting for mine. Same truck, except silver LB / with all the mods.

Another just up on CL, private party 2020 cement LB for $43k :notsure:

Remember to that carmax carvana and vroom will offer you somthing on-line then when you take it to there registered trade in dealer or have it picked up they go over it with a fine toothed comb and drop your offer by quite a bit. Also dealerships will only add 250 to 500 for your topper no matter what brand it is if they don't take money off the price. I have bought 2 canopies from dealerships after they listed the truck on-line both for 600 bucks for almost new toppers.

I don’t know how fine that comb is, I’ve heard many stories of people seeking to Carvana and basically the only thing that happened when it got picked up was making sure it started and then they got their money. When I sold my last car to Carmax they didn’t seem to check much at all , gave it a cursory looking over and then cut me a check.

Sounds like you have had better experiences than the people I know. Most have had their prices dropped from 800 to 1500 for what seemed like minor issues. I personally just used my carvana offer to help with my trade in negotiations.
