So yesterday I used my AC the first time since I bought my trunk right after Thanksgiving. It blew cold, but it was kinda weak, like there's a blockage in the vents. And the system sounds restricted, as if there's enough power, but nowhere to go. Maybe cabin air filter?
    Oh, it's a 17 offroad DC.

First place I would check is the filter. Hopefully you don't have a mouse nest in there but it should have effected heat also.

Since it's a 17 I'm assuming you bought it used. Did you test the A/C out during your pre-purchase inspection? Did it work ok then?

    Oh look, another mod....
Take it to a local shop and have them diagnose it.

Yes I did. Didn't notice anything wrong then.
I now see I should have phrased it differently

Well, the cabin air filter was a bit dirty. But, the door was loose on the filter housing. Cleaned filter and securely installed the door.
It seems much better now, more power and less noise

Glad to hear that! If you want to trouble shoot the blower motor, turn it on high. If it blows normal, but not correct on the other settings the resistor on the blower motor is bad. If it does not blow normal on any settings, then the blower motor is bad. I had to replace the blower motor on my daughter's Camry, and it cost $140 for OEM blower motor with a new resistor. Took about an hour and was not bad, except laying on my back in a Camry. The Tacoma motor costs less and is easier to replace. Hopefully you won't have any more issues, but if you do I hope this information helps. My daughter's Camry was a 2017, so about the same age.

Thanks. I was a mechanic at a different manufacturer dealership for several years, so I knew what a bad motor or resistor could look like.
    Again, thanks for rhe reply

No problem. I hope all goes well with your Tacoma. I have had a 1996 Gen 1 for 6 years, a 2005 Gen 2 for 14 years and I have had my 2018 Gen 3 for 4 years now and love it!
