I’d personally go with the KDmaxx or OVtune, they are proven to run well and do great things for the truck. I just drove from Toronto to Quebec City and averaged 9.9L/100km over the trip whilest doing the speed limit. I also tow a 4000 pound trailer regularly and it makes it feel quite a bit quicker under acceleration

sorry for the terrible French, I haven’t spoken it consistently in 5+ years.

I ran the KDMax tune for many thousands of miles and recently switched to the overland tune. 100% prefer the overlander tune.

Kdmax pro hands down. By far the most support and best tune.

What did you not like about KDMax? Were you running Pro or one of the previous versions?

I’ve had the KDMax tune for probably 6 thousand miles now and I absolutely love it. It fixed every single rage-inducing problem with the truck’s acceleration/deceleration. It literally drives like a different truck, people aren’t exaggerating when they say that.

I’ve never heard of the overlander tune, not saying it’s bad, I just don’t know anything about it. I can say that the KDMax tune is amazing and certainly worth the money if you drive the truck with any regularity.

Overland Tailor Tune is newer than KD Max but based on the same VF Tune code. I tried KD Max in my 21 Taco and it was an improvement over stock, but it didn't quite cure the dead spot at zero throttle (try creeping your truck forward just 6", you'll see what I mean). My tuner Alex, @TacoNesian , suggested the OTT.
I've only been running it for 2 days but so far I'll say I like it.

KDMAX is fantastic. Made my truck run like it should have come from the factory.

I've heard OTT produces a lot more low-end torque than any of the other tunes out. I've been offered to try it, but haven't had the pleasure of giving it a go yet. I would love to hear more reviews on it.

I ran like 3 different versions of that tune over 10,000+ miles. Overly aggressive for daily driving and the aggressiveness was a concern on the longevity of the truck. The truck drove like a pissed off donkey. Imagine a 16 year old learning how to drive a stick, that’s about what it feels like. It was an improvement over factory but the overlander is way way smother.

I'm about to get KDMax this Saturday, but agreed, I'd love to hear more about OTT, this is the first I am hearing about it.
