So, I called Sea World - San Antonio just to check ticket prices. They said my call would be recorded for training porpoises.

 

A pacemaker and stents do not "fix" your heart.

They are Band-Aids.

The root issue is still there, a bad ticker.

Why is it bad? Years of abuse and not taking care of yourself.

If he wants to live to utilize the time given to him by the implementation of the pacemaker and stents, he has to clean up his act.

If he doesn't and wants to be done with this life, then he won't heed the advice of his doctors and his daughter (who is a Nurse Practitioner) and he will do as he pleases and reap the rewards of those choices.

Free will is a bitch when it impacts others, but the choice is his and I will be there whatever he decides.

This is why I don’t go to the doctor. I would be wasting my time and theirs. I know I’m not going to stop drinking, smoking, eating pizza and butter, etc. I might live longer, but why would I want to?

 

Dude I work with bought what may be the ugliest car I've seen, he has a 15 mile commute and says he needs it to save gas
He said he was at a stoplight the other day and a gal next to him started laughing at him

My father-in-law has a pacemaker. I think he got that maybe eight years ago. He had a heart attack two weeks ago. They went in and put in some stents as he had 100% blockage. The day he was released from the hospital he went and had tacos and beer for supper….. what do ya do. He’s 83 and no one is going to tell him what to do.

 

My mom just turned 91. She seems to be in good health and still lives at home. We always tell her she deserves to live life on her own terms. At this point in her life, she might as well enjoy what's left of it.

 

Yup! Out of five kids, only two are left in town,my husband and my sister-in-law. She tries to control everything her parents do whereas Phil just sits back and says it’s your life do whatever you want.

shoot... 83 is a darn good time to live. Not sure I'd want much more than that. I don't want to be a burden on others. As mentioned, at that age, or older, you deserve to live your life as you would want.

 

Yea!! Stubborn ol fella is still doing construction too!! Now it's small, side job type stuff....but he's still getting out there.

 

The local Domino’s pizza has one of those for deliveries. I had pedal cars bigger than that when I was a kid.
