I had a fully restored '55 Willy's 4WD pick up with the original Super Hurricane flathead straight six. It had the bypass oil filter on it with the roll of Charmin in it!

Frantz filters are the bypass filter that uses a roll of TP.

I used to listen to Imus in the morning on the way to work. I miss raunchy comedy.

If you were in the So Cal commute in the early 80's, it was Frazier Smith on KLOS or Ramondo & Evans on KROQ.

    I didn't know that. Cheers.
I wonder, if when I saw the manufacturers label on the canister (attached to the block), if I just automatically saw "Fram" (instead of "Frantz"). Dummy me needs to pay better attention.

I bought this one from a friend about 8 years ago for $10 after his dad passed away. I use it on old tractors, with points :D

My dad had some old Sun stuff, Actron too. He probably still has it.

Was my dad's. He gave it to me in 1973. I used it on the '42 Stude, '66 Mustang, and '73 RX3-SP. Still have it, still works, but some wire insulation, rubber, is failing. Manuals are all there too, but deteriorating as well. Supplies store in the rear.

I repainted from the hammered silver and taped over the labels.

Dad also gave me this accelerometer. Very large worm-gear type clamp to attach it to any steering column.

My bad for such large photos. Some day I'll learn how to make them normal size...

Stude took hurricane Harvey full on, face first! Came out very wounded. Going to take more than "it'll buff out".
My sis found this afterwards and sent me a photo asking what it was.

    upload_2022-2-28_12-45-22.jpg

It's the Carter carb & oil bath air filter.
It was loose because I was running the truck with a Fish carburetor. Now that is a neat invention!

Forgot that I have this exhaust gas analyzer. Also from my dad. He did use all of these devices in the 40s, 50s, & early 60s.
I have not used this one, but it makes for a great display around my Stude paraphernalia.

Still haven't gotten the knack of small photos...

I still have a drive-in here. They play normal movies now, but at one time, they played different movies, if the sign didn't give that away.
