Oh lucky, lucky me. I've fixed my P0302 code. heres what I did in order
    1. I checked for arc at night and found none.
    2. Pulled the cylinder #2 spark plug and it was filthy. So I cleaned it up
    but it made no difference.
    3. Went and purchased 6 basic dual prong copper core spark plugs from Auto Zone just to have them.
and as luck would have it, I bought the only six they had.
    4. Installed a new spark plug for #2, no change. Ran better but still had a mild miss and threw the P0302 code.
    5. Replaced spark plug wire with an old one from my neighbor, hooked everything back up, and she purrs like a kitten.
Took it for a small test drive and no misses, stomp on the gas and away we go. I'm going to go ahead and change
the other 5 spark plugs, because they look like they need it.Will order a new set of Denso or NGK wires to change
    when they get here.

Here's the million dollar question. My Truck is due for inspection next month, which starts tomorrow. I force cleared the code with my Scan Gauge, but will the ECU still store it for a period of time. Will it pass inspection if I take it down tomorrow or do I have to drive it for a while, so many miles and wait a week or 2. Inquiring Minds want to know, especially me.

Glad you got it figured out without it costing a fortune. I don’t know about inspections. In NM we don’t have any people so we can be as dirty as we want.

You will likely have to complete some driving cycles and meet certain parameters before it's ready for smog. Due to clearing the codes.

Most scanners/ code readers show you the readiness monitors. Here is mine below. Green circles are the monitors that are ready. Red means the system still has not completed that test.

Surgery is done, he's in recovery unit. Sister is there, I can't go in. Should be home tomorrow (barring any issues tonight) with his shiny new 2 prong pacemaker.

Amazing they send you home the day after something like that.
