I got into a rabbit hole of looking at Tacoma stuff today, and came across this website; garage88.ca/shop/

I'm assuming it's mostly alibaba flips with their own branding on it, based on the prices, but I was mostly surprised by the "10% off when you pay with cryptocurrency".

 

It's a bit like getting a cash discount with your local mechanic. I tried running through the checkout process with false info (but with Ontario address and postal code), with both a $400 awning and a $40 tire gauge. In both cases the site didn't charge HST. Looks like an under-the-table operation, if not an outright scam.

 

I vote scam.

 

I tried to see if I could do the crypto method and check out the wallet transactions but they don't show it.

They sell a couple products on Amazon, so they at least paid for the seller account and looks like they responded to some questions on their products as well. But some investigation shows they used to operate under a different name.

Suggest you call them up at the 250-740-1844 number and see if they're the same operation as the Garage88.Ca site. Might be able to save some money avoiding taxes as crypto is untraceable (but losing all buyer protection).

 

Questrion;
Do i get new Pod lights to face rearwards (if so, then i'm looking of the On-Off kind that i can put the orange lense convers on)

Or do i drop $50 on moral patches to extend my collection?
