The small mods is what I really makes the truck feel more like your own! Looks like progress to me! I started with similar small mods as you and now looking for the larger more performance mods also. I’ll be looking forward to seeing what’s next!

Busy weekend. New 265/75/16 Toyo AT III, Xtrusion Overland rack, CVT 79" Hybrid Series awning and a pair of cheap Amazon floods for camping. Rotopax gas and h2o are on the driver side.

I made my own bed mat out of a horse stall rubber mat(because I’m cheap like that). Fairly easy to cut using a OLFA razor knife and a 4 foot straight edge. The Toyota mat is thinner so I’d imagine it’s easy to trim also. I have the Caliraised stiffeners in my bed and you’d need to trim a few inches, I’ve seen some photos of it when I was researching what stiffeners I wanted. I’ll tell you, not having everything slide around in the bed is well worth getting something back there. Good luck!

Became the owner of a 2021 frame… am I a cool kid now? [IMG]

don’t ask me what my plans are. I honestly have no clue. I had to replace it due to a pothole bending the lower control arm mounts totally fixable, can’t bring myself to scrap a 5k mile frame

And also added this vinyl decal above the driver’s side blacked out emblem overlay.

Has a couple of bubbles only noticeable up close, but I like it!!

All photos of mostly stock tacomas from this angle just look like derp cat. Grille looks good, though.

I had to get brave and cut the hole for the cubby. It wasn’t that bad. Measure twice/cut once and go slow! I thought there were pop outs for the bed lights though. Mine came with them.

I think theres at least one manufacturer that makes some where you dont have to trim (maybe total chaos?), but if you do need to its not too bad. A sharp utility knife makes easy work of it. Heres mine:

I did! It was super easy! Plug and play! Just youtube "trd tacoma tail light installation" and you should get the basics on how to remove and install the new one.

Literally take off two 10mm bolts to remove the tail light (The second one from the top AND the bottom one). Then pull the housing unit toward yourself. Two clips are holding it in. Detach the three connectors (the reverse light connector was super difficult to remove though). Then plug the connectors into the new tail light. Snap it back into the two clips. Then put the two 10mm bolts back on.

The hardest part as I said was I couldn't remove the reverse light connector without also removing the light bulb. Since the original light bulb was only a month old, I just kept it there. No biggie. Just twisted it into the new tail light housing unit and it was good as gold!
