Yep, lots of info over there.

It's probably simpler with the H key since you basically have two factor authentication since you have the cut key and the transponder.

Got it! I was able to reset the used lexus card and register all as new again. Everything works great. Everyone needs to follow this blog. It is direct and easy to follow (exact details) to reset used key fobs.

    http://blog.obd2diy.fr/2018/09/27/how-to-add-a-new-or-used-smart-key-with-toyota-techstream/

My advice to anyone who is simply wanting to add a key fob is to purchase only one token (www.pin-online.net) needed. It's quick and affordable. Keep your laptop connected and use all emails/text page that you can access from the same laptop for ease of copy paste. Hope this helps others as it did me!

Sincere thank you to the gentleman who compiled the information in this thread! I've got V16 downloaded and started customizing some settings in TS on my 2021. I've got a few questions though..

I've clicked engine ECU to try and see the ECU ID and figure out if I have a TSB update available but there's nothing to show here.. Anyone know what I should be clicking on?20220227_205355.jpg 20220227_215310.jpg

    Gentlemen and one azzhole. Hahahaha!

I think the details are in the 1st Post, but click on the Utility, then click Health Check. To save time, only check the power train ECUs. It will pop up the ID there.

With saving me a lot of reading, what can be customized? I had forscan on my f150 that I changed a few things on, is this similar?

also early on in this thread I saw something about a surge in a m/t truck? I have a 2019, and feel like it surges in 2nd and 3rd randomly. Driving and give it constant throttle and it almost feels like I let off the throttle then back on it but my foot position doesn’t change, is there a fix for a 2019?

Can't speak on your 2nd question.

    But for the first one:
First post, the "Taco Dealer Customizations" spoiler.

I feel like I've said this before, but see the 1st Post. Like the last spoiler in 1st Post with a link from @CdnSldr . And, yes. It is a lot like FORScan.

The 04B42 update will help a bit, but you really need the vF Tune to fix things properly.

I often wonder about the maturity of those SW developers at Ford... There's absolutely no way they didn't laugh when they came up with that name.

    Mazda uses it also.

But, yeah. It had to be like a personalized plate that someone is proud to have snuck through.

I poured over the first post like a dozen times, and I'm not saying it isn't there, but it's not jumping out at me as something rather obvious either. It might be worthwhile to add it to the first page really quick in a more obvious way because I saw I wasn't the first person to ask about the ECU ID. I saw your answer to check the Engine ECU, but that's as much direction as I could find without checking every page. I appreciate you taking the time to respond with clear direction!

To expand everything in the 1st Post made it too long. So, the spoilers had to be added.

Regardless, did you try what I noted?

Note that I said "I think." Here it is from a post in this thread though:
I will add this to the 1st Post.

Ran the health check and it came up like you said. Looks like there's a TSB update available for me so now I'm going to add that to the list of chores. I appreciate the response and you taking my suggestion adding it to the first post, I think that will help avoid the same question in the future.

    You're welcome!

The TSB only takes about 10min to flash. Be sure to do the Learn Value Resets to get the max out of it.

Don't some of the TSBs require a hardware change also? Such as the one for replacing the front sensor that gets water in it, etc... I'm thinking about the 04B42 TSB but reading through it, IIRC it looked like they require adding a new sticker on the ECU at a minimum. Betcha a beer there's no way to get from a dealer.
