The sport is lucky to have a kid like Jett coming up. He throws down bangers and has a great attitude while doing it. The bale got him good. There's no way it was planned.

You see him railing the whoops?
    :bikewhoops:
He was pinned and that back wheel was
barely skimming the top of the whoops.

Kinda reminds me of Bubba a little in the way he rides on the edge trying to win.

Let's be clear. Jett is fast, but noone is Bubba fast. Not ripping on anyone here, just a general rant, but it amazes me how fast people forget about Bubba's speed after he retired. Saw the guy in person indoors and outdoors. Noone has ever compared to that riding on the edge reality. Jett just needs to realize slow is fast and stop doing 18 y/o things. He'll have an east championship by end of the season.

Getting off my soapbox - hope Forkner is OK. That was a bad mixup.

My take on the Jett situation is pretty simple. He seemed to be riding over his head a bit all night. But there is really no need for that because he has the speed. He huck-a-bucked all the way down the section prior to the crash, tried to rail the outside and made a mistake on the face of the jump. The way the lines were coming out of that turn, everyone fades slightly left, which allows you to lean the bike right, which brings it back around to proper trajectory. Whether he faded too far left and clipped the tuffblock, hit a square edge on the face or overcompensated the lean in etc. The smart move is to take a second to collect yourself mid-turn and make the pass in the next section (or wherever it best presents itself.) There was zero reason to force that pass on the outside. And he is going to need to learn those types of things or he is going to be just another guy with a lot of speed, that is always hurt. Luckily he is ok, but it sucks that Forkner got collected.

Yes, Jett is like Bubba. Win it or bin it. He should have been given a penalty.

I never said Jett was Bubba fast. Just on the edge of his knobbies like Bubba.

JMart probably needs shoulder surgery, so that really sucks. 250E is thinning out now too.

Ya man. He always seems to get banged up, especially in SX. I had him pegged to win Daytona too.

Thanks AJ, I haven’t been over to the SX since ‘09. Definitely looking forward to it.
Used to go ever year then things changed with family responsibilities.

I was told from my ticket Rep that everything is back to the old Normal before Covid. I don’t have the Fan pass but like I mentioned earlier I’m hoping to run into some of the Kawasaki riders at the Paddock area. I’ll keep y’all updated.

I was hoping it was going to be a rain race. That place is epic in the rain. BTW- MotoGP starts a new season this weekend!

    Love the track today.

So.. Does Tomac win his 6th? Does Mookie EVER get a win? If he does, it would only be so fitting that it’s Daytona right?!
