It doesn't, frame is 7ft tall. I will end up with two shelves above for long and/or large items. Here are a few videos with similar designs.

We had the basic Honeywell 7 day at our old house. Worked great and being able to set different schedules for each day was nice. Nice and basic.

Been doing a little home improvement myself these past 10 months. Road and patio.

First was to get a road to my back half of the property that could handle heavy equipment. First hauled in many yards of dirt, and then hauled in boulders from the mountains for a few weeks straight.

Then we demo’s the old craptastic concrete patio and went to work.

Poured a footer, stem walls and then piers. DF215299-96DC-4DC1-A904-9898AA629064.jpg 28FABE3B-1F65-4D47-9B69-04709D10E456.jpg

Next up was 30 yards of mud.

    Then the patio covering.

I use an Ecobee but that’s a very internet connected product. It allows you to set everything from a web app and use multiple sensors.

I was cutting and assembling exterior window trims for my current client job .

Long story short , in our jurisdiction , building code requires a 10mm rainscreen capillary cavity behind siding and window flashing directly above the window itself . The flashing also needs an end dam on either end (basically a 3/4"-1" upturn) to prevent water from travelling sideways . My trims overlay the head flashing so I was using the router to cut a slot in the underside of the trims to accommodate the end dams

I bundle the wires together, each stripped about an inch, then twist them together. I twist the exposed ends, and continue the twist an inch or two down the insulated part of the wire. So I end up with 2 -3 inches of wire twisted together. Then I cut the end, making for a clean entry into the wire nut. Then, twist on a wire nut.

That makes for a secure connection. Yes, it takes a little work to undo it, but it will not undo itself.

Take a look at Emerson: https://climate.emerson.com/en-us/products/thermostats

Figure out what wires you have running to your thermostat, then find one that takes the same inputs. Although, these days, most thermostats take any and all inputs - you program it when you install it.

I installed one of these last year, when my old one died. Install was easy, and programming the schedule was not difficult. And, best of all, it does NOT connect to the internet!

Get yourself a jackshaft opener and clearance won’t be any issue. Looking good so far!

The mercury float switches turn the unit on and off according to temperature. Old tech, but it worked really well.

As for the wires, make sure the new thermostat can handle Y G R O W2 E C and you will be all set.
