4WP also makes an almost entirely hidden stiffener set that wouldn't require trimming. Honestly if I'd seen it sooner, that'd have been my choice, just because it's hidden and the stiffeners don't have a chance to damage cargo or be damaged (chipped) by cargo.

Rob Motive does a nice install video with an OEM box and it looks great installed too, just not lockable, but if you have a locking Tonneau cover on your bed.

 

That's nice and all. I mean, hidden is good! Most of the time. Not knocking that.

But I use my stiffeners to attach things to all of the time. I wouldn't want to lose easy access to them.
My cargo straps are permanently (bolted) to the top of all four, the winch-in-a-cradle is cable-locked to rear pax side one, the max tracks are cable-locked to the front pax side one, axe & shovel to the frnt drvr side one, etc.

Also, I just slit a short length of hose and covered the edge of the rear stiffeners to protect any cargo.

 

Broverlander skin unlocked for the Utah Trip, leaving tonight at midnight. CVT Hybrid 6.5 installed. They had a decent sale recently.

where can you get these vinyls. i been looking but don't know hwy they are called.

 

i tried pulling the whole overhead console, i tough it was gonna break so i decided to get some electrical tape and curve needle noise pliers and make they U shape tape +grabbing with the pliers. that is not user friendly in any way. that just mean a normal person would have to take it to the dealer to get that replace.

 

I understand your apprehension, but I respectfully disagree. It’s simple once you stop babying it and I feel like most people are heavy handed rather than cautious. At least the ones interested in upgrading interior lighting... Anyway, cheers!

I love my bed mat it does a great job at keeping items in place but also makes it a bear sliding items in lol. You def. need to place items in bed and not slide them.

Everyone should invest in a basic panel removal kit. This would have helped with popping the upper console out. It does feel like you are going to break something the 1st time you pull it down.
