All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Looks great!

Another side project. Flame maple truss cover I dyed black, then sanded it back with 0000 steel wool and finished with Tru oil. Also working on flame maple pickup rings to match and then something planned for the body.

Kirk has an awesome sound. Between Crowbar and DOWN, it's like so low, heavy and almost detuned sounding. I'm not good at capturing other people's sound, but he certainly has a unique feel to his sound.

Agreed. I was just surprised his tone is pretty simple. I got a solid state amp here I may try with a boost pedal just to see if I can get it. I don't have a metal zone, but I have a few overdrive pedals I can try.

So I got a choice on a custom PortCity amp head. Trying to decide if I want a 50w dual channel amp with one super clean channel and one with some serious gain.
    Or
    A 50w single change amp
That has built a built in spring reverb.

I like dual ch but a single ch is a dual ch once you stomp the distortion pedal. :)
Reverb isnt a big deal either, they make pedals for that.

Can't add a reverb tank to the custom?

I agree with Matic, can use a pedal. I'd go with the custom.

I actually had to fix the spring reverb tank on my Fender Sonic 22 head. Was a bad RCA connection. Tanks are actually pretty cheap to replace though.

Also found this spring reverb pedals if you're after the spring reverb tone.

    I finished this last year.
I don’t post much here cause I can’t play shit.
I do have a bucket list item to play and sing one song with my buddies band.

    It’s a 3 string resonator.
I added the springs and weaved the strap.
