I went to the largest local dealer today - and he said that my allocation request "unicorn" was so rare, that he wouldn't even take a deposit. He said that getting a manual would be hard enough - getting a TRD Pro would be hard enough - getting Electric Lime Green would be hard enough... but there was practically no way he saw me getting all 3 in the same truck in this region this year.

He put me on a list - and then informed me that the "average Market Adjustment" for that truck was $10-$15k.

... and I thought Mondays could be depressing.

Thanks man! Those are just the base steelies that come with the SR. Solid wheels but very heavy. Will be replacing them with Motegi MR149's soon. You can usually find the take offs with brand new tires for sale for very cheap!

    - Tonneau cover
    - Hood struts
    - Bed mat
    - Bed lights
    - Fog lights
    - Wheels/tires
    - Subaru tweeters

After that stuff I've got longer term plans for
    - seat covers

    - additional lighting
    - door speakers
    - running boards (maybe)
    - full size spare
    - full tail light kit

Great start. One thing that's made waiting around to buy a truck easier has been spending money on a truck I don't already have yet. :D

I'm in a similar boat, I put a deposit on a TRD Sport DoubleCab 6MT in Blue Crush Metallic with the all of the packages; I was told a minimum of six to eight months, maybe never. At least my local dealer doesn't charge a market adjustment.

    Brand new.

What brand of Hood struts do you plan on using, I'm torn between the type i have to drill into my hood or the kind that requires no drilling. Though I am partial the the redline brand.

i purchased the Go Rhino Dominator Extreme 1 side steps.

Sorry to hear that. This one is literally the 3rd green 6MT Pro I've seen at the online inventory in my area since I've started looking about a month ago. Sure they're probably spoken for once they hit the website but they aren't exactly as rare as some dealers are trying to make them out to be.

Some dealers will put trucks that have been ordered/allocated and already sold on their website to get you all excited and running to the dealership with a big wad of cash or ready to sign away or get you to call so they can get your number and pester you every day. I'm not just guessing it happened to me with three different dealer

Stopped by the dealer today to check on my truck. We looked and it is in port and should be at the dealer on 09 Mar 2022. Not bad, I put the deposit down for it Jun 2021. I asked him to print out the sheet for me, no problem. Comes back with the sheet next to the MSRP price they wrote in +9995. I said what is this, he said they are adding that to all Pro's now. Told him there is no way I'm paying anything over MSRP as agreed when I put the deposit down. He said lets hold off until the truck gets here and we can discuss it then. I said no problem but there is no way I'm paying over MSRP, I waited 9 months and have no problem taking my money somewhere else and waiting 9 months again. He looked at me and said we will keep your name on the vehicle and wait for it to come in. I said fine and we talked about a few things not related to the truck and I left.

Will see if they work with me since I have bought a few vehicles from them, if not oh well no MT Pro for me.

That's friggin nuts. What part of the country are you in? I've got 3 dealers here in north Georgia that I was waiting for allocations on that were all at MSRP on Pro's.

That's bullshit. If I were you I would contact toyota corporate now instead of waiting for them to fuck you on March 9th. If nothing is done I would raise hell that dealership and let anyone shopping around in there know not to do business with them before I left. The balls these people have thinking they can surprise someone with a $10k markup, let alone after waiting 9 months for the truck...

Did you call on that grey manual pro? They are desperate to dump it man... they called me yesterday with 2500 above msrp... the one I told you about at the Ford dealership, it's unlisted, snag it and trade up to the lime.

I was a beer away from taking it. It's been physically on the lot a week. Hard ball those bitches

I'm in the NW, yes it was a surprise. Hope yours works out better, but I will see what happens when it get here. If anything I never use them again, I know one customer doesn't mean anything to a dealer but it does to me and that is all that matters in the end.

Haha, it may be petty but I will do the same thing if they stick with the mark up. There are other dealers and the sales guy told me which ones in the area to go to for no markup and just selling at MSRP.

I did not, I will not pay anything over MSRP. Never have and Never will, I don't care what the market is like. I can just find a more reasonable place to buy from or wait. My patience will outlast me thinking it is ok to spend a dollar over what a product is worth, just because I want it.
