When I took auto mechanics, in high school, we had one of those sinks. I remember when class was over, we would all stand around the sink, with our feet on the bar, and scrub away, with powdered soap.

Here’s one I have not thought about, in a while. Found these in the back of my closet. My Dad gave me these decades ago.

Smith and Wesson ammunition. It’s a box of 50, 357 Magnum, 125 grain, JHP.

I wish it still had the price tag on it. I’d like to know what my dad paid for it. Probably $2, LOL

I was always afraid some kid would mistake those things for a urinal. Then again, I swam in the public swimming pool, which undoubtedly was used for that purpose. LOL

I remember when on a night like tonight, you either watched the state of the union or you turned off the tv. Was on all 3 channels. Plus as a kid growing up, I was the tv remote

I still have a tin Band-Aid can and a tin can of baby powder, out in my dad’s old toolbox. They’re from the early 1960s I am sure.

I remember having an Italian motor scooter and you could fill the gas for $.89 but you had to add some oil. Knowing how much to add required you to do a little math on the fly. Usually you put in too much and made a bunch of blue smoke.

I remember when the automatic reverse cassette deck came out. That was a big revolution because you didn’t have to turn the tape over to hear the other side.

Stealing your moms singer sewing machine oil, to oil your bicycle.
Building walls out of Lincoln logs and smashing electric model trains into them as fast as they would go.

Repairing the body of the model train with glue after you smashed it.

Figuring out that you could only throw a Superball against the concrete so hard before it cracked apart instead of bouncing.

Yup, sorta like the urinal mints..

I cannot recall, what is this item and purpose?

Was just talking to someone much younger than me (48) about Slayer's Reign in Blood album, which I bought on tape right when it came out. What was unique about that tape was the album was about 30-32 minutes so they put the entire album on each side, so you didn't have to use auto reverse or flip the tape. CDs changed the way of listening to an entire album but back then it was ahead of its time for ushering that in out of convenience.

It moistens stamps and envelopes. You fill the base with water and roll your envelope/stamp across the wheel. That was back before stamps had the sticker on the back. Your envelopes had to be moistened, as well.

Actually, I prefer the new stamps to the old.
