That's awesome man! I think the silver looks excellent with your white truck. I'm shocked they weigh that little! Are you sure? lol I just looked on the FN website and they currently offer black, gunmetal, and bronze. I don't know what would look sharpest on a green truck, they all look good on pretty much any color IMO.

If they weigh that little, you set my mind on countersteers, possibly two sets of them. I would like 16" to keep the sidewall there, and one with highway tires and one with M/T tires. I guess I'm hijacking the thread with weights, but if the CS wheels are only 17lbs, then it would yield this weight per corner of the setups I was looking at:

    Efficiency: 245/75/16 w/LE3s (30.5"): 49lbs
    Fun/"SHTF": 265/75/16 w/Evolution (E) M/Ts (31.7"): 65lbs

    That's not bad at all...

What size rims and tires are you putting on? Any offset? I’m sure a lot of us with the TRD lift would love to find a tire/wheel combo that doesn’t rub at all.

New Taco above is Silver with the shiny silver countersteers.. just reflecting from the white snow on the lake. Thought I'd try them and see how I liked them before getting them powder coated. That truck has the Bilstein 6112/5160 package.. been down this road with suspension on three different Tacos.. 00 , 06 and a 21. Have near 475,000 miles of Tacoma use since 2000.

I purchased them back in 2010 when they were slightly lighter weight than the current version marketed by FN. Had them on my std cab for 200,000+ miles. The new versions are about 1 lb or 2 lb heavier.

I've also thought about the 16" charcoal countersteers instead of the 17" charcoal six shooters. I believe there is about a 4 lb difference in weight per wheel.

Montana Actual has the same size you want but he went with a 3" lift. The 5th spare in that size, I believe a Wildpeak, fits under the bed when aired down to about 15 PSI or something. As far as fitment, I believe the front is what you will have to contend with in terms of having to shave or not, and you may want to consider a different axle ratio when you go up to that size, even with a shorter ratio MT rear diff. I believe he had to modify the truck to fit those. I also think that the TRD lift doesn't really let you go up any higher in size than the factory O/R lift.

@Montana_Actual Could I bother you for some advice for our friend here?

At two inches you will need a CMC. Its gonna rub with daily driving. Technically, at 3 inches I still need one.

Was just told they will have the wheels on tmr! They had a TRD lifted Tacoma in the show room last week had k02 265/70/17’s and they looked a tad small to be honest. Hopefully mine will work with the zero offset wheels.I will post the results

265/70/17s look great on a mild Bilstein 2/1 lift. Thats what I run and its perfect.

Aw nuts, they'll have it done by lunch tomorrow. Kinda sucks because I made the appointment two weeks ago or so. Oh well.

I'm not sure I would be able to appreciate the visual difference between 265/70/17 and 275/70/17 too much and I know I wouldn't appreciate the difference off-road. If it rubs, you won't need to cut and weld that much I wouldn't think.

275's you are probably good. I can't know for sure. But according to you are .5" shorter and .4" slimmer ;) I think it's a great combo. Also probably better on weight by a couple pounds. TBH, I think 275's and 285's both look great and I do think the 2/1 lift is perfect for the Taco's! Great choices all around here guys! Enjoy!
