Its the MD Toyota Dealers, so Im sure it can be ordered. But saw on this forum (TRD pro grill on TRD OR with TSS | Tacoma World) about a guy using an aftermarket garnish with the OEM grill.

Yeah, it came to $436 for everything I would need (OEM), but they don't ship to Hawaii (of course). I may order the OEM grille and wiring harness only for shipping to my sister's house locally, just need to confirm if that grille has the hole for the front camera (looks like it does).

I’m tentatively in, I’ll be bringing Betty on the trailer if I do, assuming that’s ok and there’s somewhere I can shove it that’s out of the way.

I knew a guy years ago that had one on a Chevy. As for the JK, no. I am curious as to the mounting though. It’s already tight as hell in there on the front of the engine. That said, if you haven’t already noticed… the alternator is mounted backwards (pulley facing the engine).

Yep. I think you should bring it down and recreate the scene. Then we'll try and straighten your frame.

Or did he leave his hat in my truck? Hard to remember, that night was kind of a blur.

There's a video on YouTube somewhere of the install. I think it goes underneath the alternator somehow.

And I noticed the backwards alternator. Not sure what that's about. Must make belt changes a bitch.

Rite, will look up the vid.

No room on the bottom of the engine for the alt. Because of suspension compression. And the oil filter is between the heads, so no room up top. The belt change does seem interesting though.

I don’t know how I haven’t come across this thread before, thanks for the tag @fatfurious2

I’m currently in Sterling but moving out to Leesburg in the next month or so. Nice to see a thread with other local Tacoma owners! This is probably the most recent picture I’ve got of my truck.

Just a quick thought about the nails up on Switzer lake (Dunkle hollow rd.) to Flag pole..

After reading this closure for power lines. Im left wondering if the non legal motorcycle/ATV had started to venture off up to Flag pole, because Dictum ridge and Rocky run (another legal place for the non-legal toys to play) are on the north side of 33 once you get in the the Nat. Forest. and someone or some bodies do not like them in the FP, area. That area is getting ready to be, or has been shut down for new a new power line project till it’s done.

I would hate to see another trail get shut down because of stupid stuff just like Shoe Creek did years ago.

A quote from the Forest Service page.

Some roads and trails closed in Rockingham County VA and Pendleton County WV

    Date(s): Jan 3, 2022

Some National Forest system roads and trails will be intermittently closed over the next several months as the 500 kilovolt electricity transmission line running through Rockingham County, Va and Pendleton County, WVa. is being rebuilt. Roads and trails will close during road maintenance, tree felling operations, and new tower construction.

Well I guess my Tacoma got pissy at me for not driving it lately… got in it an took forever to start. Started driving out my neighborhood and the truck wouldn't get over 1500 rpms at 10mph. As soon as it did, rpms would drop to a few hundred (~400) and the truck would almost stall. My first though was the battery, any other ideas? ~60k miles on the truck.

Was it throwing codes? Sounds like limp mode for whatever reason.

Na, just my usual ones (maintenance light/low tire pressure light). Would a battery effect the engine afters its on, assuming the alternator is functioning?
