Doubt it's a coyote. Wrong shape. Needs a straighter topline.

Not broad enough for a bear.

    Pit type dog?

I know you have big hands but still, that’s small for a coyote. It’s not a juvenile because it’s teeth are well worn. Possibly some kind of Hobbsquatch offspring.

Possibly; I was pretty sure of coyote due to location, but definitely could be wrong.

Hobbsquatches are only found in the PNW.

In the 1950's the Air Force and Lockheed built a secret research lab in the middle of nowhere in North Ga. They were trying to develop a nuclear-powered aircraft. It is located on what is now the Dawson Forest WMA. I've been to the site, never tried to go inside. Wouldn't if I could because supposedly radiation is a possibility.

Lots of these type things in the Catskills in the abandoned quarries.... there's a whole living room made of stone at a primitive camp site on echo lake but be prepared to hike its 6miles in one way and 8 in the other... but does offer a stone fire place, stone couch, chair and stone table too.

A couple of days ago we found this '99 Ford Expedition in the desert in Riverside County, between Bradshaw Trail and the Chocolate Mountain Gunnery Range (USMC). Sure, we find lots of cars, but they are 95% stripped, bullet holes no glass, etc. This Ford was still in remarkable shape, wheels and tires were OK, engine and tranny were still there. Looks like someone grabbed the airbags, some of the instrumentation, and other interior parts.

The rats had moved into the engine compartment, ate the air filter, and made a nest out of chollas.

Used the taco to go look at a teardrop camper…well, what looked like a teardrop camper from the highway. This plot of land has been for sale a long time, but I never noticed this mystery machinery before due to foliage on the trees. Anyway, it was a decent excuse to explore a random side trail. Any ideas on what it is? I assume some type of farming implement.

Looks like a pull behind combine harvester. The pipe sticking up gives it away. Not this model but roughly shaped like this one.

Are the first two pics close together? Old homestead? Looks like daffodils in back of the round water thingy.

It would be pretty eerie to go out to the cross at night and see the solar light shining on it in the middle of the woods. It also looks pretty fresh.

All three pics are within 50 feet of each other; and you're correct, it is an old homesite...I just can't figure out the round pool of water. It looks too round.

Cistern? Not likely to be a septic tank if it's that old. Did you see how deep it was?
