It was probably a glitch. But it’s not the first time HD has done that. I too didn’t need really anything but ordered one. It’s been processing since this morning, so we will see if it goes through. I know some other guys have had theirs ship already.

I’m not sold on the power stack yet.. That 1.7ah rating is going having you switching batteries every second. I rather have a good ole 4ah

    It shipped.

Looks like Home Depot is honoring it.

If you don’t need that angle grinder, I’ll buy it off of you. I get a cheap grinder and you get the rest of your cheap tools for even cheaper.

Happy Dewalt story for y'all: the lockout button on my buzz-buzz (oscillating tool, for them what don't work on my crew) stopped working. Sent a quick note to Dewalt support asking them to send the replacement part; they asked for a pic of the tool and a few details; and it appears that they're sending me an entirely new tool. Woot!

Ordered for pickup. Seems like a great price. I've seen them well used for $300

Great price for sure. My 733 was a hand me down but the head broke in storage. So I was either going to replace the broken head for $200 and risk something else failing or spend $350 for a newer model and just leave it in the shop. Then there’s the free tote..:notsure: I have the tough system 1 and 2..so why not. Looks like they shipped it separately.

worked a construction crew for a few years and they had Dewalt. ive seen Milwaukee on other construction jobs and i have to admit those are better than Dewalt but im a home owner now and own dewalt 20v/max and a collection of other plug in tools from various places. They are hard to beat for the price

This especially hits home (or the piggy bank) when comparing the yard tools like chainsaw, blower, etc. where the price ratio is often more than 2:1. Hard to beat the yellow string trimmer on sale for under $100 after tax.

    Agree.

Using both, I really don't see how Milwaukee are better. Just the 12V Mil is smaller than the 20V DeW.

    I don't use either 12V or 20V for yard tools, I went 80V Greenworks.

in the hand the milwaukee angle grinder had a stronger motor when comparing to dewalt thats the only side by side comparison i did. Im assuming that power is consistent across the board

There is no doubt the Milwaukee 12V line is very powerful for the size and if patient you can get good prices.

My Dewalt 20volt was taking care of business yesterday. I had some issues with the mounting points for my running boards being a bit rusty, and after a thread chaser helped clean that up, the old 20 volt was able to grab those 13mm m8 screws and zip through the rest of the install no problem.

Don’t think there is any cordless angle grinder on the market more powerful that the DeWalt 60v

It’s definitely not across the board. Even though I agree with you that more Milwaukee tools are better and the warranty is better.
Examples are the dewalt 999 and the 577 worm drive (not real worm drive) saw are best in class. The new atomic impact I think is one of the smallest impact drivers in its class. Makita has the most powerful battery impact wrenches, I think in the mid torque category.

Point being, all the brands have their pros and cons. I’m sure when the Milwaukee gen 4s drop they will wipe the floor with the competition. It’s good to see the competition and innovation.
