We use those totes as well. You can get them at any box store but we have found Sam's to be the cheapest.

Yep, I got those at Costco they are greenmade brand made in the USA. Slightly thicker plastic than the Lowe's and HD alternatives. The clear bin stack are Buckle up storage bins, 4 packs at Costco also made in the USA.

yea, those seem to the be the go to, but if theres something that doesn't have a taper toward the bottom, so there isn't any wasted space between each tote (they'll be arranged side by side), that'd be ideal.

They all have a slight taper to them. That's for the molding process

Keep in mind these are fairly small the larger the totes, the less space wasted.

    yea, i guess that's true.

My trim, eaves, planter boxes, and garage door are all Arborcoat solid color in Oxford Brown. The quality, toughness, and look are totally worth the cost and it sprays well without dilution.

These eaves were trashed before sanding and a single heavy spray coat around 3 years ago and the finish is essentially indestructible. Arborcoat is really solid paint. Color is more dark dark brown than the pic which seems more pinkish on the monitor.

These are what I had before, went smaller because with these I was letting them get too heavy.

Costco or Sams have Collapsible Crates that I use a lot. The are more expensive but have no taper and are stackable. Here is a couple of pics. I use them in the garage or in my office/spare room. I fill them up with tools, clothes, food, camping, fishing, and/or shooting supplies and then load them up in my truck platform drawer system according to my need/destination. They have a small lip so I’m sure you could design a rack to hold them. Mine just sit on my gorilla racks. Right now they are about $12 but Costco will put them on sale for $8 every now and then. That’s when I buy them.

Been working on a laundry room remodel over the last month or so. Decided to do a butcher block counter top, with a table to go over the washer dryer. We wanted something that we could slide out to access the water shutoffs.

    20220227_160310.jpg

Holes drilled, welding completed and butcher block mounted. It test fit good, so need to stain the block and paint the legs. Also waiting on some tubing caps/plugs for the feet. Happy with the way that it turned out.

    Hey 1995?

Yeah 2022 called, it said "Fuck your popcorn ceilings."

    Pro tip:

Do this on a cool day and open the windows then put a carpet fan at the crack of the closed door to create positive pressure keeping the dust out of the rest of the house and at a minimum in the room.

I still strongly recommend a mask though.

I've always disliked popcorn ceilings but now I have a new HATRED and many sore spots about it.

There's got to be a be a better way than a 4" paint scraper and elbow grease.

It's especially difficult around the mudded areas and seams for whatever reason.

I still need to sand those spots and address the gouges as well as fill in a few holes in the walls before paint.

What's the best way to do that?

    Yup, that's black, stay tuned.

Nice job. Next time, use a pump sprayer and soak that ceiling good with water, it'll come/peel off dust free.

If you’re gonna spend the time to add drywall over top of existing drywall, IMO you’re better off just pulling the old stuff down and doing it proper.

That's a very good suggestion! However the 1x4's need a good bit of sanding and filling, end even then might not look good staining (even solid color). I have a good bit of Sherwin Williams A100 Satin in white to use up, and it should match the house better. The siding I'm debating going a dark brown to match the brick mortar, or maybe a burgundy to match the brick. Not sure.
