Agreed. Our auto tech instructor instilled this in us to use one of the local backroads to learn the limitations of our individual vehicles for practical purposes of course. In a sense it’s the same reason I take my truck to Hollister Hills and play around in the obstacle course(s) to learn what my limitations are before getting in over my head on a trail I have no business on.

Looks a lot like the 5100's painted silver, just with less adjustability, and a TRD sticker.

Wowwie. Yes they are. But they’re available unlike 5100s and cost about $100 a corner. Everything you just said is reason enough to buy these over 5100.

my Plasti-dip emblems lasted about 3 years before they started to fade. You can also get some Plasti-dip glossifier and spray it on top of the black to help it keeps it’s color longer.

Installed the frame cap from Kaizen Offroad to get rid of that useless extension on the front frame. I must have gotten one of the last ones they had on hand because it's now sold out on their site. Oh well a few other folks online sell similar stuff...

No idea what purpose they serve, but I like the cleaner look without them better…

Since from my untrained eye I got rid of an aerodynamic hinderance, I'm expecting at least a 2 MPG improvement in highway gas mileage lol...

Yep, when I was a kid I was well known for pulling some Dukes of Hazard level shit in my Nissan 200sx tearing up the backroads of Oklahoma (105mph on gravel is... an experience, especially for the nervous soul in my passenger seat :p). I learned a ton about how a vehicle can be driven, what happens when you push the envelope, and how far that envelope can bend before you go to war with a tree.

Yes. OE Toyota parts. Can be ordered as a kit with a grille or shocks individually

Toyota actually claims that'll give you an MPG hit. But that's the price we pay to de-grampa-fy our trucks

Those are part of you radiator support. :cookiemonster: They are there for a reason. Why would anyone say “hey, instead of plugging these why don’t we put these leftover bars inside?” :bananadead: :boink: They are also required when installing some aftermarket HC bumpers. :anonymous:

No plan on installing an aftermarket bumper of any kind, so no sweat.

I mean this is Toyota we're talking about. The same company that is well behind the EV curve and whose company wide mantra of (paraphrasing) "if it ain't broke, don't fix or improve it" results in them still using the same rear drum brake system on our trucks. I'm mildly pissed they slapped that ancient shit on my $36k Off Road trim imagine how pissed I would be if they had the gall to doing the same thing on a $55-60k Tacoma TRD Pro.

I get what you’re saying. Does the Pro have rear discs? Didn’t know that. Anyway I’m good with the rear drum brakes especially on an off-road truck. I drive it like a truck so no need for extra stopping power. Might upgrade the front brakes when I’m ready to move up the tire size though.

Pro has exactly the same front and rear brakes as other trims.
