Also, does your white truck have a limited-slip differential or just an open rear?

Those guys do a bunch of jeeps as well. While maybe overpriced to some, the work they do is very nice. He generally has nice starting point vehicles then makes then takes them above and beyond.

Here's another one, with less than 40K miles, but it's in New York; Seller says that the frame has been replaced or at least treated and they have recall paperwork, but the frame doesn't look too good...

On another note, I just realized that the actual truck shown in the photos being restored is not a Tacoma, but just a Toyota truck; I know they made the pre-Tacoma pickups until the 1995 model years, but it would appear that they listed it as a Tacoma by mistake.

    IMO, if it's a quality 100% restoration it's a very good deal at $29,900.

    But I realized it's not actually a Tacoma; It's a just a 1995 "Truck"...

If one had a salvage title Tacoma was damaged in a rollover but had a good frame, then this beige one would be suitable to put on top of that frame because it has a clear title and the title stays with the body; My mechanic had informed me that he would be willing to take on a Tacoma frame swap, which is what my dad and I were thinking was gonna have to happen with my truck before the local dealer miraculous discovered perforation a week before the warranty expired!

my frame looks a little better than this and I've considered doing a frame swap.

trouble is I have limited resources to do this myself and then I'd have to justify it in the long run vs getting something else (not another Tacoma)

Davis Auto Sports is a horrible place to buy a vehicle, their vehicles only look good on the outside with their paint corrections but have tons of hidden problems, also way overpriced. If you do some research on them you’ll see tons of negative reviews about the place. Check BBB or Revdex and you’ll see.

When I was looking for my 1st gen in 2016/2017 I'd see Davis listings on eBay, (I'm also in VA) where they'd sprayed the whole undercarriage...I can't imagine what that was hiding on those. Maybe they don't do that now, but its always a red flag for me.
