Many years ago I drove from Seattle to Phoenix via 84 to 15, over the Hoover Dam, on to Flagstaff, then south to Phoenix. The beauty of the interior of Central Washington, Oregon, Nevada and Arizona left a lasting impression.

:yay:It's supposed to be in the 50s and 60s here this weekend! Gas here just went up another quarter or so. Currently $3.49-3.79/gal. Wife and I are headin up to the cabin tomorrow night. First trip without the dog. Might be nice for a little while.

You did such a great job with sharing pics of your trip, I actually felt guilty for not sharing many of mine on the Colorado trip. I'm itching like mad to get back out there ASAP.

A little of this and a little of that.
    Good afternoon all, :hattip:

Warm day here, very Springlike. Time for an afternoon coffee. :pccoffee:

Gasoline here has jumped from $3.29 to $3.45 to $3.69 a gallon in the past 8 days. :annoyed:

@BarcelonaTom67 & @Marty65 I agree with you Tom, Arizona is a diverse geographical state. We have family that live an hour and some North of Phoenix. I could live out there, but my wife isn't so sure.

    Yes it is !!!

My 427sbc can easily run up to 114 octane and I've already tried VP C10 which is $18 gallon

Holy crap on a cracker, I thought Yatch fuel was expensive.

Years ago I worked for Broward Marine, they built a 120’er, 10,000.gal diesel tank. Back in the late eighties it was $3.00 a gal delivered, can’t imagine what the cost is today.

A few days I went to the GF's house. As I walked up to the door, I could see Clarence ( orange tabby) crashed out on the sofa in a tiny ray of sunlight. I stood in front of the light, creating an eclipse. After a minute, his ears started twitching and the tail flicked a bit. He then open his eyes and stared me down, he wasn't amused! When I came in, I didn't get the usual warm welcome from him, he just gave me the cold shoulder.

We partner with a rescue in Phoenix sometimes and I’ve transported all the way twice and met them in Dallas another time. And while I’m in the area I’ve ended up in Sedona both times stayed about a week the last time. I would move out there tomorrow given the chance.

My wife, her parents and brother, and I, are all getting ready to move out of CA. Right now, we all live within 5 miles of each other, and I really do hope we can end up in a similar situation in TN / NC where we are planning to move. I personally love mountains, cold, and snow, so I would prefer MT / WY / ID / UT (really, Alaska is my #1), but her folks are in their mid 70's and don't want to deal with the severe cold. Her dad recently was diagnosed with COPD, so he doesn't want to do higher elevations. But, having lost both my parents over the last 20 years, I really want my wife to be able to be as close as we can be to her parents while they are both still around, and they have family up and down the eastern States, so east we go.

My father-in-law actually loves the Prescott area of AZ, and my wife and I love Flagstaff.... only maybe 90 minutes apart, but my mother-in-law says "I am NOT living in the desert" :annoyed:so......

I’ve been making serious plans for my retirement road trip to Alaska and Canada, shooting for late July/August time frame. Depending on gas prices I may have to put it on hold again. :annoyed:
