So about a week ago when I went to close my driver door it was jambed open. It was binding up as if the truck had been in an accident, and the body was twisted. I was able to get the door closed and it's been better, but not perfect since.
When I just barely touch the handle, it pops open real quick, and takes some extra effort to get the last bit closed.
If the door is left open, it will swing closed.
I went to put my window down the other day, and about 6" down from the top the glass starts binding and won't go further.

When looking at the door, the black bar in between the hinges has lots of play in it, while the passenger side is locked solid. The door is perfectly gapped with the rest of the panels when closed, so not bent, and there is no play with the door.

What is that black bar called? What else could be the issue? I'd like to have a idea before I take my door apart on what parts I may need.

That back part is called a “Door Check”.

Did your door get opened “hard” or did the wind catch it and slam it open?
You aren’t the first to have a problem like this.

You will likely need to pull the panel off and take a look.

That time, no was not opened hard. Yes at times in the past the wind has grabbed it.

Thanks for the name. I have googled, and not coming up with much.

BTW, I wouldn’t order anything until you pull the panel off and see what is binding.
It may not be the check.

I'd fix that before doing anything else. That could be what's pushing your door open/making that last bit difficult to close.

It was the small plastic clip not 100% seated. I pushed it tight while working on the door.

    Well thanks for the help.
Unfortunately, the door check snapped the sheet metal, so there is nothing to attach a new one to.....
Somehow it managed to hit the window track with enough force to bend that a bit as well. I hand tweaked that a bit and loosened the attachment bolt so it can float a tad as the window goes down.IMG20220303201546.jpg

There have been others with this same issue. Two options:
1.) If you are good a sheet metal you could probably fashion a patch in the door to mount the new door check too.
2.) Get a used door from a scrap yard.
