If this would have been a HEMI car it would have sold for 6 million plus experts said but it was only a 440 car and sold for just over the $250K asking price. I seen this at Garlits Museum 4 yrs ago and the story was the reason it got painted this unavailable 1970 color was the factory misread the T code for paint but the new owner took it since it was 1 of 1 and no other Super Birds were to be painted this Root Beer color if he would have optioned the 426 HEMI for $700 bucks more.....

The yellow car in the background is an interesting companion to all the race cars:
Either a 1979-82 AMC Spirit sedan (rwd) or an 1980-82 Kammback (4wd), both very uncommon models to begin with especially with a bunch of race cars.

Looks like a couple of Ford flathead V8 engines on the left too.
