Remember when you and the neighborhood kids would make bike jumps out of a cinder block and a board; no helmet or protective gear.

Remember when bikes didn't have all that fancy suspension stuff?

I think it was Christmas 1970. I would turn 8 in 2 weeks. I got a tiny package under the tree with a note to follow the string that was attached. It went out the back door, thru the backyard, around the pool and into my neighbor's yard with a note tied every maybe 50 feet leading me. It went all the way up the street through neighbor's yards and backyards until it got to a very close family's back door to their garage. All the neighbors were out watching as they all knew. I opened the door and there she was. A shiny new Schwinn Apple Krate 5 spd!

    It had suspension! ;)

Springer fork, shock struts on the banana seat stays. That bike was so f'ing cool! The next year, ALL my neighbor kids had one and except for 1 other Apple Krate, they were all different. Pea Picker, Lemon Krate, Orange Krate, and a Cotton Picker! Good times they were!

Hell, I had a vacant lot across the street they couldn't build on so I busted ass making my own racetrack there.

Yes and no re suspension, the 70s BMX bikes had em..and some were the Sting Rays converted but in time companies such as Webco built dedicated BMX bikes with them.

Well, this was my son's second grade teacher. This picture doesn't do her justice.

This is a teacher, from Texas , that was arrested, after being accused of doing adult things, with a high school boy. Little bastard should have kept his mouth shut.

The pic on the left is her mugshot.

My wife teaches high school level. For the last 24 years or so, I always crank this up as she readies to leave on her first day back after summer break!

My 3rd grade teacher, Ms Hovander, drove a 1963 Corvette Split Window to school on the days it didn't rain...
I would see her at the stop light and BEG for a ride... never happened...

Elementary school principal drove an early 80’s cherry red vette. She was pretty young and decent looking too.
