I searched but finding the right key words is rough. I have a 2017 double cab short bed. I am looking at adding a slimline front bumper with a winch and possibly a rear bumper and some sliders. I occasionally tow campers up to 5,000 pounds and use blue sumo springs in the rear. Currently have 31.5 by 9.5 tires. I don't want to lift the truck. I just want it close to level when I add the weight. I could live with a little lift in the front if I have to.

Recommendations? When I searched everyone seems to want some lift.

How do you bag the front end for a winch and bumper?

Go with a coil over. Like the Eibach Pro-Truck 2.0, there are adjustable from zero to 2.5" of lift. This means you can set it at zero, and then adjust the preload to bring the front up to accommodate the extra weight of the bumper. No lift and weight compensating adjustability...

This is the route I'd like to go if I can convince myself to never get rid of the Tacoma ever: https://alcanspring.com/

Have them make a leaf spring that has either zero or no more than 1" of lift over stock but similar weight capacity as the Dobinsons 110R that I have on there now. Then it's just a matter of slapping in the best shocks you can afford and matching the front struts and springs, most likely using an adjustable seat strut to get the stance correct.

Would this work with the above mentioned coil overs?

The front is, for the most part independent of the rear, so yes they would work. You would just have to decide if the factory rear shocks work best for you or aftermarket. With extra weight in the back it is always a good idea to improve dampening to control the weight.
