Nexus Collaboration: YWNexus Blackhawk

I did try N+P for 700+miles. About 150 was in Seattle metro area, the rest was a trip over Cascades to Idaho border.
There was a dead pedal. I had to force a downshift by using S mode.
I sent logs to AJ. I let him talk on anything else.
As was mentioned before, mpg is not the scope of the tune.

 

I've been on various OV tunes since 1.04, then M+W early tunes, Kruiser 4.0, Coyoza, and before Nexus I was on M+W ultimate daily driver. From time to time I did go back to stock just to remember what it was like. In my opinion Nexus is the most mature tune I've run. It's obvious the various creators of Nexus have learned from experience what works and put together a damn good tune. No dead pedal, shift points work as they should. The biggest, most obvious change to me is the use of torque lock to smooth out and eliminate some of the shifting issues that plague stock and other tunes. Acceleration is good, a little pressure gives you takeoff, more pressure gives you the oomph you may want. Every once in a while it isn't as smooth and linear, more of a turbo lag kind of feel. I haven't been able to narrow down what I'm doing differently to cause it and it's very infrequent. I'm confident that this tune will continue to improve as more options are available in ovtune and they get more feedback.

I know others are waiting to feedback from those who have tried the latest KDMAX Pro and Nexus. I'm interested in that as well. I've spent way more money on tunes than I ever imagined, and while I think both improve upon stock in so many ways and have their advantages I'm staying with Nexus.

 

Vlady is way more more technical than I am and I'm glad to hear feedback is getting sent to the developers. Crazy how these trucks seem to act differently to the same tune/code. My 300 miles has been 200 interstate between Louisville and Knoxville, the other 100 on 4 lane/stop and go rolling hills in east Tennessee. I can't remember any deal pedal.

 

I find this intriguing. I have a 100 mile commute everyday through mountains here and have specifically tuned for this. This is the first report of any. I'd personally be interested to see the dicrepant throttle angle and speed.

 

I can resend those logs to you from the round trip and other items that I observed on the trip.

 

What was used to log? If it was OBD Fusion it's gonna be fairly difficult to see dead pedal due to slow polling.
