That’s good. Glad you were lucky but this dealer said No. I cancelled the purchase of this WCP DCLB TRDSport and they are not refunding the deposit.
They will sell the truck before the end of this week…
I am hoping that if I contact my credit card company then I can cancel the charge. Just don’t want a small claims court against me…
Another dealership has the perfect truck coming to their allocation.

This has always blown my mind too. There must be additional logistics behind the shipping of the cars, because there’s no way it takes weeks to drive them across the country.

ive already put the predator steps, oem mudflaps, and heritage grille on it since i took that photo. also did the Kicker speakers/tweeters upgrade and led bulbs in the brake lights, tail lights, and front turn signals yesterday. im debating on the TRD wheels and tires.... but i just had to buy a new AC system for the house and i broke my friggin iphone on Tuesday which was another $600....so wheels and tires will probably have to wait

    I am in the market for a 22 Tacoma Off Road 4x4 or a 22 4-Runner.
Dealer is asking MSRP but they have to add $3995 worth of options. They are also marking up the option prices.
Anybody getting MSRP w/o any other accessory or option markup? So Cal area?
I am in California, but willing to buy out of state. Arizona, Oregon, Nevada.. etc..

I picked up my Truck from Walnut Creek Toyota here in the Bay Area. Paid MSRP, no added options or anything. I didn't even finance through them. They said they don't mark up any cars/trucks. But that also could explain there none existent inventory. But if your ok waiting and flexible I'm sure it wont take too long. Took me from November to now but I wanted a lunar rock TRD OR and didn't want premium packages which is how a lot of their allocations were spec'd.

Finally, something.... I have checked on the internet using the web browser technique 3 times today and nothing, still no eta, gas, or miles. It's 1 month to the day she was built. I haven't checked the Toyota app all day. Just checked it and BAM… A little bit of gas and 3 miles on her.... It was updates about 5 hours ago. Still no changes on the web browser technique.
Anyone know what they do next?

After months of searching and being misled by dealers, I was able to find a Tacoma Limited Nightshade in MGM at MSRP that hadn’t been pre-sold. Put the deposit down right away (December 3rd) and had the truck by Jan 28. Now, I’m just waiting to see if I can find a 22 Pro in that same color (auto trans) without having to wait 6-12+ months. If not, I’ll likely wait until the next gen is released.

Nice ride love the wheel choice! Did you get a head's up/ETA as it got close, or was it a surprise? What part of the country are you from? Seems like midwest has a lot of delays; west coast getting theirs pretty quickly

Appreciate it! And yea, I was able to get an ETA range and it showed up on the last day of that range. I'm in Kansas City.

    Brand new.
Can anyone explain as to why my Tacoma would be on the Dealer website with the Temporary Vin # they gave me for sale?
The same vehicle and options I ordered is on their site for sale.
Is this because it is part of their allocation and they have to list it on their site for sale? What prevents someone from walking in and offering more money on the vehicle and screwing me out of my truck?

My Pro is still listed on my dealers site as well since I put my deposit in on Jan 7th. I had a friend call to inquire about it and luckily they said it was pre sold. Maybe they keep it on their site to draw more people in.
