LMAO.. That made me laugh. Some people just can't let their burnt up trees go after the fire.

Made some progress on my son's kitchen. Got the cabinet boxes painted. Very happy with how the finish turned out. I will hang the doors tomorrow. Quartz countertops were also installed. Have some patching and trim work to do. Then I'll start on the backsplash.

Another company employee showed up with 1ton Ram, and pulled him with a chain. The main problem were the slick as snot highway tires. Couldn't even get a bite on tracks. Everyone was good natured and his second load he brought 2X the sand I ordered, no extra charge.

I'm needing even more top soil after this as well for all the raised beds we are making. Have the 3 yards there, and ~6 yards of well broken down mulch/manure and 4 yards of sand..............oh the fun!

When we bought our house it was all popcorn ceilings minus the three baths and kitchen. I ended up removing all 3300 sq ft of that shit. The vaulted ceilings were a freaking PITA. Plastic sheeting on the floor, water sprayer, and a 9" putty blade got me through it one room at a time. Then resprayed the whole house with a light knock down texture. It sucked but had to be done.

With that amount of prep and the Satin paint you have. Prep, prime and Satin is a good plan. As for smart siding, go with a high quality exterior latex paint. Sorry I haven't used any S&W exterior paint only B&M and Cloverdale Paint (Canadian product only). Someone else could have a suggestion for one of S&W product line or a product you've used before. Going with a darker color it's best to use a high end product because it will stand up better.

Got the cabinet doors hung and the sink re-connected. Some patching and trim work needs to be done before I tile the backsplash.

Thanks. I'm taking my time to try and get it just right. I'm super happy with how the paint finish on the cabinets came out. My future daughter-in-law loves it so far.

Spray. I've rolled cabinets in the past. They come out OK but not smooth like when I spray.

Just got a boxed assortment of Wago 221 connectors for my next project. Updating a couple of ceiling fans. These look like a great alternative to wire nuts.

2 of my windows had old blinds that were an ugly brown, the south facing stairwell landing set were warped into boomerangs and had a couple cracked slats. Well blinds.com had a 40% off sale last month so I pulled the trigger on 2 sets. Got em this week & threw them up tonight. Arguably the best $140 I've spent on this place so far. No pics of the stairwell window but....it's the same lol.

Also you'll see the faucet got upgraded to a Kohler motion sensing unit. Half off open box on fleabay. Me likey.
