So today i drove and all of a sudden i lost power. Its like gutless and throttle response is sluggish. Ive done zero mods in the past 20k miles. Sounds like a nasty vaccum leak above 2k rpms under the hood. Doesnt do that when in park though, only when driving. Truck has 45k miles. Is the fuel pump a possibility? I have no engine check lights nothing. Any ideas?

Did you have recall done on fuel pump?

Could be a vac leak... need to know more.
Last time you changed the intake filter?
    Fuel used?
    Fuel pump replaced?
    Any error codes?
What gear is it happening in?

Current intake or exhaust mods? Peddle Commander? Etc.

Edit: Just thinking out loud here. Typically a vacuum leak is going to be rougher at idle but you said that you don't feel it at all there

Find out where the sound is coming from and start from there. Unless we can actually examine the truck we would be shooting in the dark!

Took it to Toyota and it happened to be some diffuser valve near the throttle body? It was sticking

They ordered a part and will install it tomorrow. But from what they diagnosed, that is the problem

Ask for the old part back, assuming they don't keep it for warranty. If you bought a new one, the old one is yours too.

Post a pic and a P/N (from the ticket) so folks (well, at least me) can see what this mystical diffuser valve is..........

Could you explain a little more? It's happening to me that my truck (2018 Tacoma 3.5 automatic transmission) at 65 mph doesn't want to accelerate any more and loses power on the uphills.

Do you have the part no. Or did they replaced the whole throttle body? I'm having the exact same issue since a couple of weeks and can't find anything that indicated something wrong
