What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

First decal came in, what y’all think? I was going for an OEM look and nothing flashy. I’m going to X-Acto knife the outer most white circle out so it looks more blended. Will post that image once my last decal comes in which I will be placing over the aFe logo on the intake tube.

 

Received my Archive Garage Hammer Hangers w/3.6 shackles. Now just waiting on the high clearance cross bar. All of this will be installed with my new Alcan leaf packs and Archive garage stage 5 u bolt flip kit end of next month/1st of May.

I really want to try this, my trucks feeling slow and the cam gears are cheaper than a supercharger + clutch

 

I can attest to the gears on a N/A engine. Quieter, smoother, just runs happier.

 

Do it! And while your at it drop your injectors off at a local shop to get sonic cleaned like i did..

 

I definitely notice the extra pickup with the gears. For the price, definitely worth it. Especially since you have an 08 and don't have to deal with the SAI. Install will be easier and straight forward.

 

Same boat, not ready to full send with a supercharger just yet but I'd like a little more pep for merging and what not. I'm thinking cam gears and a tune would help along with a decent exhaust.

 

When I received mine, I thought the packaging was very well done.

I definitely feel like the cam gears would make my currently useless intake and exhaust do a little more.... install doesn't look terrible but I still would need some time to do it. While I was in there I'd want to do a little maintenance stuff too

 

SAI? Ya I want to find somebody around me who's done it already for some help lol

 

Ah sorry, Secondary Air Injection pump. It was only included in the 2012's and up. That crap sucked taking off and putting back on (for me anyway).
It would definitely go quicker with someone who's done it before.

 

Yes you have to cut off the lower center section, it was pretty easy though.

Added skaters tape to the sliders, replaced the PCV valve, cleaned the mass airflow sensor and throttle body. Also finally did the ABS killswitch mod. Have a great weekend everyone!
