The rev limiter works. It won't let me downshift until a certain point. I guess I can just trust that?

Sorry typo. It's like 3500 to 4000 rpm. The redline is at 6300 so that would be illogical haha

Did you just say you spin tires around corners? What a fucken tool.

I'd be surprised if OP is even 18.

I have done it at night in a parking lot before. Not on the actual road with other people. I don't know how much it takes to damage something so I was just putting it in there.

Anyone remember the diff grenade thread where the guy was in 4hi on dry pavement going straight for like 10 seconds?

What happened to him? I never saw the resolution

edit: it was after a regear. He installed new gears, then BANG

Well, let's put it this way -- you aren't going to be the guy posting about 250,000 trouble free miles in the future...

Gotcha. I'm probably gonna stop messing around so the truck will last longer. Thanks for helping out.

You'll be fine. My first 2 rear diffs in my '04 Tacoma lasted about 100k miles and 75k miles respectively. And the new rear ends are stronger.

My wheels spin every time I pull out of the driveway. It has a bunch of dirt in one corner no matter how easy I go they spin. I’m gonna start saving for a rear diff. now…

I know man tacomas are great but there’s different types of drivers. I’ve seen brand new trd off roads I wouldn’t buy for 10k because it’s basically a f 150 by the time you get it lol

For 1st and Reverse, the torque limits are silly like that. 16% in Low Range. Changing them to 100% has a very nice feel to it. Personally, I see no harm with it in High Range. I probably never have gone over about 50% in Low Range, but without the limiter, I seems to crawl better for me.
