Also with the 934s remember your have to notch the frame. So I’d say it’s a wash if your paying for that to be done.

Stock outer joint still with jd. And a warranty up to 40” tires. The jd stuff is awesome and I’m running a bit of it on my truck but the axles I think are a good/ not best option.
Also this vs straight bolt in

Why? If you can spend the $160 on getting the inners machined vs the 2k on RCVs and not have axle issues because things aren’t binding.

With those odds, I’d risk the possibility of breaking axles a few times before going out and spending the extra money.

To each their own I guess. :notsure:

I guess after having 2 dk axles break on me under circumstances where I don’t think they should have broken, I just don’t like having to deal with that.

Not that I disagree with the inconvenience, but I'd have to break more than two CVs to spend 2k on replacements. You also wheel substantially harder than most of the people out there. I guess my point is RCVs aren't for everyone looking to go LT.

I've heard great things about those RCV's. If I get a super charger, or 4 link the rear, those will definitely be in order.
I think if you're a moderate wheeler that went LT so it's less harmful on the truck and to go a little faster, the cheaper option is for you (me).
But if your turnin heads in cinder hills like ol Ryan up there, then yeah those axles are probably the way to go lol.
    Just my .02

Issue with comparing the rcv’s and 934’s is the 934’s are 28 degrees compared to factory 21 but I can’t find anything stating what the rcv axles are capable of. Cause the two limiting factors for droop on lt kits with horizontal heims will be uniballs on the uca and cv bind.

True and if you aren’t running big tires or running in the rocks a lot then the cost probably outweighs most of the benefits. Big tires, supercharged and rocks it was on the list of needs for me for a while.
I keep forgetting to try and measure this because it has been brought up before. But I can say that they eliminate them being the limiting factor for droop. I’m limited by the uca uniball only now

Maybe it makes more of a difference on shorter LT kits since the angles at drop out are steeper? Just spitballin’ :notsure:

yeah I wanna say we’ve talked about it in Harry’s thread before about trying to determine cv angles. I just know anyone who says rcv’s are indestructible just hasn’t tried hard enough…lol. At KOH we were camped next to some guys who broke both their rcv front axles (granted they are solid axle front) so their not indestructible. They ended up getting some other axle shafts from someone and they had to cut and shorten their housing the night before qualifying…

Either way though @snowsk8air2 i would say that though these options are more expensive than just machining the cup I would say they are both preferable by far.

Yea, was looking for a Phoenix person to give money to snag parts then I’d pick them up in 2 weeks when I’m out there.

You need more parts? Isn't that like Fort Knox needing more gold?
