We are in a warm spell here, but the forecast says it is going to get colder. Hope it does something for the insect population this summer.

Dang this car is a headliner at Amelia Island. I get Hagerty emails and this car is top center on their latest one.

Gonna be 62 in May...I got sick of American Airlines and retired in 2017...I retired way to early but I have loved it ....Living in my 5th wheel on Cherokee Lake in East TN and have a hot little gf who's 1 year older than me...We travel quite a bit for good music and camping... I'm amazed at how quick my body is falling apart but I'm having a blast

:pccoffee:  I was going to get up before the sun this morning to test out some lights but when I opened my eyes at 4:30 they just fell shut again. That's okay, I'm retired.
It is expected to set a record for the highest price ever paid for a Japanese car at public auction. I'd say you have been a good steward!

I have something that looks sort of like it but from a dfferent country and a different era. Not race car either. But it does have two seats, a proper number of pedals (manual transmission), and a very sweet sounding, very high revving inline 6...

Welcome to the new folks.. enjoy the thread..

Just glad for being retired. Don't have to worry about driving to work with the price of gas. I guess you can say that's another perk for retirement :) Was up at 5, had my coffee and walked down to the bakery and got the wife an almond croissant.
Have a great day all and be safe.

Welcome @All Visible Hues 14 ! You can keep the cooler open and have @MyMule help you fill it!

JUST an observation, because it was going to happen. On the way to San Marcos yesterday at 10, Valero gas had gone from $3.19 the day before to $3.59. On the way back in town around 2, it was $3.65. That's changing faster than my truck goes!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! So, I did pick up the poolside furniture, but appear to have ruined my obligatory pic of it stacked up in the truck. Was a little upset that it took an HOUR at curbside pickup to get it, but mostly because I had another errand. Which was to get home, take the hydroponic rack off the fence, and truck it out to a little garden share place outside town. I took my Supervisor for the ride.

And here's a shocker. I asked the wife if she'd like to start her birthday early, and head downtown for a couple drinks, and then some wine & pizza - it's First Friday downtown. Shock #1 was YES. So, everything was absolutely PACKED! We went to the first place for some beverage, then across the street for pizza - 45 minutes wait, then 45 minutes for food! We ended up at the fancy place in town, the Bistro, where we actually got a table and a very fancy dinner. It's good, expensive stuff. Was all worth it for the fun of first time getting out in almost 2 years! And good to see the downtown businesses full of people!

Regular gas here in California is $4.80 and up and at Chevron and Shell it’s over $5.00. Guess I should have got a Prius (just kidding). Just a suggestion - if anyone is planning to fly somewhere this year make your flight reservations now! The rising cost of fuel is going to make the cost of flying insanely expensive.

I loved my Priuses! The RAV4 is a Hybrid. The Taco is a truck, and for fun.

This is sort of a rerun, but my handyman posted MUCH BETTER pics in the Lockhart FB pages to advertise himself than he sent me! Wife forwarded for me - shows what got accomplished with that chimney crown repair much better than what I had.

I've heard of "panic buying"... but is there also some form of "panic selling" involved? It's like these people are price gouging in anticipation of price gouging. One upsmanship in gouging... a whole new meaning to keeping up with the Joneses.
