I haven’t found a kit I really like yet. Some have too big of a filter on the return line, some have short feed lines where the junk from a grenaded pump could still get through to the supply fuel and some are just too complicated to install for what I feel the benefits are. They’re evolving, in a year or so, someone will take the best of all the kits, combine them, then I’ll bite the bullet. For now, I use additives to improve lubricity and I try to get my fuel from high volume stations when I travel and the same place when I’m home.
$4.92 for me. I was surprised the NY is cheaper than where I live in MA. Around me, fuel went up a dollar a gallon in less than a week!

Don't know. I've had that bike forever and have fully rebuilt it on that frame several times. It's a Merlin, a small builder that was first based in Cambridge. Back then nobody was using titanium and there was no bike specific titanium tubing. Oddly enough, Boeing aircraft hydraulic system titanium tubing was the right diameter and wall thickness. Merlin bought Boeing scrap tubing and hired a couple guys laid off from Electric Boat. The welds are the cleanest, tightest "roll of dimes" welds you can imagine. No grindimg, no sanding...just the way he laid them down.

I think I am going to take a ride over the border and fill the cans with ethanol free fuel before it goes up any more. The machines are full with around 12 gallons between all of them at this point and I have room for about 9 more in my cans. Should get me through for a while

I’m in NY now, going to fill up here, it’s cheaper in NY than in MA at the moment…. No idea how that’s possible with NY’s taxes.

Stewart's in Vermont is closest for me. I am pretty close to NY too but I don't think there are any ethanol free stations right over the border in that MA/VT/NY corner.

Hell yeah!! I’m heading out to the garage soon… I’ll share my results :anonymous:

I was actually looking at those! I just don’t want insane offset, I’m already super wide lol. Guess I need to live with the extra 1” of poke on each side.
Very true. I’m surprised that they haven’t perfected a kit in 11 years of the 6.7. You’d think common sense would’ve struck by now :notsure:

Maybe the 285’s would be a really bad idea right now with these gas prices…
Getting 11 mpg city winter gas blend, a fiberglass shell, skids, sliders, and 265’s

Yup. The konk is somehow always super cheap, like .50 a gallon less than right over the border in RI, and at least significantly cheaper than the rest of mass. I don't fully understand but I'll take it.

3.55 in bev when I came home Thursday, probably more at this point. It's always been cheaper at the handful of places I go to around here but it seems like that gap is lessening lately, go figure

Just filled up the LC, I was at 1/4 tank. If i was on "E" it would have easily been over $100. 20220305_111738.jpg

I really miss my 7.3s and my 5.9(12v).
The current one is fine, and, unless I can find a smoking deal on a solid old 12v, 5spd 4x4, or a 7.3 4x4, most likely my last oil burner. The emissions and complexity are taking the advantages out it.

Pricing out new SDs today. The 6.7 is almost 11k upcharge. That is a LOT of fuel. I had a 6.2 in a service truck, no complaints. And the 7.3 gasser is a beast.

I agree. I love the diesel but I only bought it because it was too good of a deal not to. I don’t need it at all, the gassers would do fine. Next truck will very likely be a gas model. I liked the 6.2 but they changed the tranny between MY 2018 and 2019 and the newer 6 speed had some quirks. Either of the gassers with the 10 speed would be good for me. But, I’m going to enjoy the heck out of the diesel while I have it!

I know the 10spd is optional with the 6.2 MY22... Not sure if it was then?

    Kind of a pipe-dream really.

More likely to keep the stupid duty running for a while(doesn't accumulate any miles), and trade the Tacoma for a T4R.....
