Lunar Rock Gen III Thread

I love the Lunar Rock. I have a deposit down for allocation of a LR OR 6MT Premium. But I haven’t seen a single LR truck in Massachusetts that I can recall. Nothing out of hundreds of trucks on any dealer sites in the area. I have seen LR RAV4s quite a few times, but no Tacomas. Does the Northeast not get the color in Tacoma?

On a side note, is the lower portion of your front bumper paint matched?

 

I've been running no front plate for 6 years in NJ without issues. Although I'm sure now that I said that, I'll get a ticket tomorrow haha

 

My sales guy in Tustin Toyota happens to get the most inventory in the SoCal. I paid $2k over MSRP. But most other dealers are marking them up at least $4k over.

The paint is color matched on the TRD Sport. I know most are used to looking at TRD Pro’s and TRD OR in Lunar Rock so they are used to seeing the black fender and black front bumper, but the look of the Lunar Rock TRD Sport will grow on you. It’s a very clean look.

 

Damn, 2k markup is not bad, especially when it means 0 wait. I like paint matched fender flares just as much as I like black fender flares but it definitely looks extra sweet on a sick color like Lunar Rock. I didn't realize sports came with the lower bumper part paint matched too, I feel like I've seen plenty and never noticed unless I saw off roads with sport hoods lol. Feel free to post a front shot

Love the sport hood! If there was one reason i would choose the Sport over the Off Road, that would be it!

Damn yeah that looks sweet and I love the scoop too but really wanted a trail edition, so eventually I'll have to swap out the hood lol. I appreciate that but I already have so much time invested waiting for my LR trail edition that it's not worth exploring other options at this point. Plus I'm paying no markup at the closest dealer to me. It was allocated in November and I put a deposit on it January 1st or 2nd. It was built January 25th and has been listed as Freight with no eta since then and no mileage or fuel data in the app

 

That trail edition will be worth the wait! Those bronze wheels pair up great with Lunar Rock.

I have a LR on allocation coming to northern Maine in the near future. Week 8 build, temp VIN dropped off the Toyota website Friday.

 

But I'm having trouble getting over the red in the bedside decal.

Great! Good luck with your truck, congrats. I don’t mind waiting, my Silverado is just fine for now. I’m sure I’ve got a bit of a wait because of the 6MT which is an absolute must have for me. Maybe I’ll have a new ride for summertime.
