Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
    Shanananananananana....... :D

I have a copy of personal check from Evel. When I was a kid, my BIL was deep into the auto business and at the time was at Bob Spreen Cadillac "where the freeways meet in Downey" CA. Evel bought a custom ordered Cadillac truck that had a p/u bed. A Caddy version of an El Camino. It was one of a kind and the final check he wrote for $5000 ended up in my BIL's hands......so of course, he xeroxed that puppy! That's my only Evel connection :D

    Oh wow that's awesome.

There's an episode of Shipping Wars where Evel's old traveling rig gets hauled.

I have gone through about half of this thread, and came to two conclusions. One, I am very educated by others on the way things were. Or, I’m older than I want to admit to myself. If I had to guess, I’m educated on this stuff because I lived it. Which means I’m getting older.

Been seeing on other threads that the weather in places is nice enough to allow truck washing. Thought I should get this out there before winter is completely over:

Remember when... you were still small enough that mom helped you dress warm for outside? There was 3-4' of snow and you wanted to play in it.
First came the superman skivvies, then t-shirt, wool socks; long-johns (top & bottom); levis (with cuff rolled up); flannel shirt; sweater; insulated coveralls; wool bennie, ear-muffs, & scarf (opt); mittens (strung together over the shoulder via the sleeves); and finally boots. Took so long that by the time the boots were on you had to pee.
But that's NOT the worst of it. The worst part of it all was having six inches of insulation and only four inches of dick! Grrrrrrr

Another one was “If I have to stop this car”…….. that sentence was never actually finished, but we knew it was time to sit down and shut up or there would be consequences for our actions. No one wanted to find out what would actually happen if the car stopped, but we had a pretty good idea. LOL

Yep, the ol', "I'm going to pull over at the next roadside park if you don't ...!" Would hear that so many times on a cross-country trip. I'd laugh when we passed one and didn't stop. Then I heard, "I can always turn around..."
    I'd quit laughing.

And toys from cereal box forms. Had to have enough box-tops and money. Always took two weeks to deliver, regardless of distance or size.
Got some cool self-diving submarines from there. Used baking soda for propulsion and surfacing! (Weight was enough for a dive.)

And "allow 6-8 weeks for delivery" was normal. Now more than a few days is horrible. :goingcrazy:
