They are cool. I would recommend a Prusa Mini or the Prusa Mk3s+ (mines the Mk3s which is the last model). They are considered to be almost the gold standard for hobbyist printers. Another reason why I recommend them is they update the different printer models every so often and when they do this they allow you to upgrade your current printer to what the new model has. So lets say if they made some parts more robust or tweaked them most likely they would offer up the new files to upgrade your printer to the new standard. I dont know of any other brand that does that.

How big of stuff are you looking at making? For little things like coasters or stuff that's small a Mini would do great and it's less than $500 for the machine.

Of course when I got mine they only offered the large Mk3s and I could have definitely got by with a Mini.

If your budget allows it. Give or take $500 for the smaller and about $1k for the large one. I forgot to mention they are all from Prague so you'll have desent sized shipping costs and also the lead time is a couple months sometimes.

If you have the cash I would get the big one because it's been out for a lot longer than the Mini. Also factor in if you want an enclosure. It's not needed but it can improve the quality of your prints. Heres my printer currently as it sits with the "IKEA Lack Table Enclosure."
