It’s a good looking truck with great output numbers for the midsize market. I’m hoping Ford controls pricing on it so dealers don’t absolutely ruin a midsize market game changer.

No, you need to look at all the work vans that have the turbos, they fail at 100,000 to 120,000 miles, all of them at work, all of them. I wouldn't touch that engine tranny combo, the new thing with the work vans are the transmissions, 3 out of 5 have shit the bed before 150,000 miles, at the tune of $3,700 for the cheap on, $5,500 for the expensive one. No fucking way. I see this with my own eyes at work, no fucking way would I own that shit.

Anyone who is seriously considering buying a Raptor of any kind is not thinking about how many miles they will get out of it.

I know you are talking about 3.5 ebs with the 10spd in the Transits, but I don't recall Econolines, GM G series, or Dodge vans. Ever being hailed as having a good reputation as high milage vehicles.

Toyota's entire truck line up will soon be turbo charged, if not electric or Hybrid turbo.

Fuel economy regs are forcing it on the entire auto industry, like, hybrid tech and electric. Sign of the times. I have no problem with turbos or superchargers.

yep, we live in a throw-a-way society, few care about longevity…only the latest and greatest.

I like the idea of them, but yeah too volatile for me. We are in the infancy of the tech currently, it needs to stabilize…I’ll probably be dead before that happens. As soon as you bring it home it will be out dated…

Don’t care about who has the most horsepower, torque, suspension travel, what have you. Care about which will last me the longest with the least headaches. But for most dudes it is a dick measuring contest…

3.5 ecoboost in a regular cab short bed F-150 might be fun.

I have, but that's because they are talking about the older teslas that have unlimited free charging to go with them, I guess they aren't taking into account the $22k battery they will need to replace.

Tesla could stop building vehicles Tomorrow and go bankrupt over night. Is free charging guaranteed if that happened? because free charging sounds like a nice perk, when considering an EV.

I still don't see there being a big market for previously owned Teslas.

Agree, when you consider the cost of replacing a battery, it literally makes it a no go. But aside from that, the mileage numbers are misleading. You are not getting 300 miles if you drive like a normal person. If you drive like a 90 year old lady, maybe. I drove a tesla S P90D for 4 days in vegas and I had to charge it at an average of 160 to 190 miles. Every time, there barely being 30 miles left to empty. The 160 mile day was all highway following a porsche Cayenne at 85 mph for most of that mileage.
