They’re buying up anything on the market, and nobody on their right mind is paying these secondary prices.

 Bwahahahaha. Let's see where these Rangers are in 10 years and if they're alive, ask the owner how much money they spent to keep it alive. As with most ANY Ford nowadays, this would be an excellent excuse for the longest Ford backed extended warranty you could possibly get.

Look at Ford innovating, something Toyota seems to have forgotten how to do. 3.5L underpowered garbage lol.

I'd rather have the Ford all day long.

I don't know, if somone is the market for a Tesla they probably want the newest technology Musk has to offer, and they can probably afford new.

Can't even export a used EV to some under developed country, as the infrastructure there can't support an EV.

The majority of people in the US who are in the used market want something reliable. That they can take anywhere to get repaired, or repair themself.

Nothing against Tesla, they just happen to be the biggest EV manufacturer.

Obviously Ford has the Mach E and the upcoming F-150 Lightning, most likely an EV Maverick in the development stage if they think the EV market will grow, and probably a Ranger EV development team.

Ford innovating? That's even funnier than buying a Ford. I've had a few of them they are garbage. You're going to be fixing it all day long. I'm not a homer for any brand it just depends upon what I'm doing it right now in Toyota fills that bill. A Fiat/Jeep better than ford regnar.

Something that irks me about the 3rd gen is the lack of innovation. The 3.4L in the 1st gens competed with a 4.3L from Chevy and made more HP in the early years.

It took 25 years to get a powered seat lol

I sold my Tacoma and bought a Ram 2500 - Never been happier. Never owned a Ford before but at this point, any truck is better than the 3rd gen. My 2nd gen and 1st gen was better than my 3rd gen

Edit: Any *new* comparable truck coming to market...before people take it out of context

Yeah, that's more different tech than new tech, but that is likely what he meant. Fact is the new S plaid can't break 400 miles driving like a grandma. So me, it's the same old tech. Give me 600 miles on one charge driving like a grandma, and 450 miles driving like a normal person and I would listen.

One of my workers purchased a new ranger, stated front end was vibrating, and asked me to test drive it. I've never been impressed and continue to be unimpressed with Ford engineering, but at least they circled the problem.

I'd trade that in a heartbeat. The Big boy Raptor for the weekends and Ranger Raptor as my DD. I mean, I can't pass up on that trade. I'll make sure to be ahead of all my scheduled maintenance and do the best to keep that thing in top shape.

Competition is good, it's what we need to push Toyota to step up their game! The twin turbo V6 engine in the Tundra should be a motor option for the Tacoma, do something special for a change and make the "PRO" badge actually mean something special.

And 40 years of me being a Ford Fanboy and owning 'nothing but' up till last July for personal and business trucks/cars says yeah, the frame debacle would suck to go through. On the other hand, look what Toyota did about it! They went after it as they tend to do with their fuck-ups. I have a little bit less concern for Ford's quality then I do for Ford's modern business practices where they design new shit, get people and the auto media all excited to the point of a big woody, then throw it out there for the customer base to test on their own dime. Then, when it goes to shit, walk away and act like nothing happened. Ford will now leave you hanging for absolutely anything they can, been there, got the dry bend-over 2 times on 2 vehicles. They are relying on sales now based on "innovation" and how shit looks on paper, not quality of build, quality of product, longevity, etc.
