From what it looks like you're going to have to remove the center console. It's actually really easy to do and just pops up.

So looks like the section around the shifter can be pulled up without having to remove the entire console. Would like to see the install from @FreshMexicanTaco.

 

You pull it up. It's surprisingly easy to do. I did the Static Climbing bag mod and it was super simple to remove the center without having to remove anything else.

The button will be used for firing the machine guns.

 

for most people ECT mode. I'm thinking about it for my light bar.

 

I would rather wait a little longer and have the knob done right.

 

The button is just that. A button. We are not pre wiring it to anything you can simply wire it to whatever you want, we are also going to offer the button as a momentary (like the ECT) button or a regular on-off switch. Both options are user upgradable and modifiable meaning if you buy one onfiguration you can easily upgrade or change it

 

As soon as we have this batch come back from coating we’re going to record an install video. We’re going to start doing weekly YouTube videos and the knob will be one of the first as soon as we have a black one on hand.
And yes, the console needs to be pulled up but that part is ridiculously easy, and you technically have to do that anyway if you want to wire up that button to anything

 

I thought I had will-powered myself out of buying one of these but after seeing the button functionally I'm not so sure. Is the group buy discount still available? If so, how do we go about adding on the button to the purchase?

I updated the website, the button option should be available form the product page.

 

I see the option for a button on the site, but the menu won't let me select anything but "No thanks"

This really made me laugh because it is absolutely true, I have it on my taco and have been doing that SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH, its a very satisfying click, I also need to put that switch to the test so fidget clicking really puts some abuse on it. We are using a supposedly heavy duty, long lasting switch but we'll see...
